Biography: Annie Weber, M.D., is an orthopedic hand surgeon, specializing in fracture management, arthritis, nerve compression, joint replacement and microsurgery, at Baptist Health. Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Weber completed her hand and upper extremity fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. During her residency, she received the University of Maryland Resident Researcher of the Year award and an AOTrauma North America's 2019 Resident Research grant. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. A strong believer in giving back to the community, Dr. Weber served as a mentor for the University of Maryland School of Medicine Orthopaedic Interest Group, a counselor at Camp Open Arms and a member of the University of Maryland Medical Center Orthopaedics Resident Education Improvement Committee. Dr. Weber believes in building trusting, open and informative patient-physician relationships. Biography: Derek Papp, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute and member of Baptist Health Medical Group, a network of primary care doctors and specialists who provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages. He is Board certified in orthopedic surgery with a subspecialty Board certification in orthopedic sports medicine. His areas of expertise include arthroscopic surgery, shoulder and elbow disorders and knee ligamentous injuries. He provides orthopedic care to athletes of all skill levels, including professional, collegiate, high school, and recreational athletes. He currently serves as a team physician for the Baltimore Orioles and head team physician for their minor league affiliate, the Aberdeen Ironbirds. He also has served as a team physician for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Florida Panthers, Florida International University athletics and Miami-Dade County Public Schools athletics. As an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Papp provides clinical and surgical instruction to residents. He has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented many scientific papers at professional symposiums. He currently serves on the editorial board of Current Orthopaedic Practice. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Papp received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md., and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He continued his postdoctoral training at Doctors Hospital – UHZ Sports Medicine Institute in Coral Gables, Fla., completing a fellowship in sports medicine.

Biography: David Michael Trueba, M.D., is an internal medicine physician at Baptist Health Primary Care. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and nephrology. He provides comprehensive primary care and has expertise in treating hypertension, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, anemia and electrolyte imbalance.Dr. Trueba has more than 20 years of experience treating patients in outpatient and inpatient settings. He has held numerous leadership positions in the medical community, including president of the medical staff and chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at Baptist Health Homestead Hospital.Dr. Trueba earned his medical degree at Universidad Central del Este Facultad de Medicina in the Dominican Republic. He completed an internal medicine residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and a nephrology fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.Committed to providing empathetic patient-centered care, Dr. Trueba actively listens to his patients needs and preferences, validates their feelings and collaborates with them to make informed decisions about their care.Dr. Trueba is fluent in English and Spanish.
