Biography: Omar Dimachkieh, MD, is a fellowship-trained board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in surgery of the hand and upper extremity. Dr. Dimachkieh specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery with an emphasis on disorders of the hand, wrist and elbow. His expertise includes the latest and most advanced techniques for minimally invasive surgery and reconstructive treatments, as well as nonsurgical management and rehabilitation. Born in a Texas Medical Center hospital, Dr. Dimachkieh is a life-long Houstonian. He attended Rice University on an academic scholarship before completing both medical school and orthopedic surgery residency at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine. He finished his training with a fellowship in surgery of the hand and upper extremity, which included extensive microsurgical training, at the University of Colorado. Dr. Dimachkieh is proud to serve his community, caring for patients from all walks of life, and he believes in treating his patients as if they were his own family.

Biography: Dr. Jackson received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University and completed medical school at Midwestern University in Chicago and Phoenix. Having an accomplished family physician as a father, Dr. Jackson knew from an early age that he desired to be a physician. Further direction was provided during his undergraduate years when he was able to spend extensive time with a distinguished hand surgeon in San Diego, California and performed research on the surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. From that point on, Dr. Jackson became dedicated to learning the skills necessary to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to the hand and upper extremities in order to restore function and enhance individual lives. During his residency in orthopedic surgery at Ohio University, he served as chief resident in his final year and then undertook his surgical fellowship training at Tufts University-New England Medical Center in the Combined Hand/Upper Extremity. Before moving to Houston, Dr. Jackson practiced in Austin and California in hand/upper extremity and general orthopedic surgery. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Jackson is interested in nearly every form of art, sports, culture, outdoor activity and environmental pursuit, but tends to spend most of his time with his wife and two young daughters, building computers, listening to music and exercising at the gym while thinking about planning his next marathon.

Dr. Smith is a hand and upper extremity surgeon working at Texas Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine. He is originally from Conroe and attended Conroe High School. Dr. Smith graduated from the University of Oklahoma with honors and then received his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine, graduating with highest honors and was granted admission into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He received his orthopaedic training at Scott & White Hospital and continued with advanced fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at The University of Chicago. During his training, he worked directly under Dr. Daniel Mass, one of the world's leading experts in tendon injury and upper extremity surgery. He returned to the Tomball/Woodlands area after being an associate professor of upper extremity surgery at Scott & White Hospital. There he instructed residents and young surgeons on the latest techniques and trauma care for upper extremity injuries. Throughout his career, he has learned, performed and researched the most advanced, cutting-edge techniques in hand and upper extremity care providing care for several Major League Baseball teams and serving as one of the team physicians for the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks. Currently, he takes care of the entire spectrum of upper extremity injuries and enjoys the multidisciplinary approach of orthopedic treatment at Texas Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine. He continues to be very active in the community and assists in athletic coverage for several local high schools and organizations: Cypress-Creek, Dekaney, Klein, Klein Forest, Klein Collins, Waller, Magnolia, Magnolia West, and Tomball high schools. Care Philosophy: Due to his keen interest in autoimmunity, and immune system dysregulation throughout his undergraduate and graduate training, Dr. Ursani pursued his fellowship training in Rheumatology via the Baylor College of Medicine at the world renown Texas Medical Center. During his time in fellowship, he was chosen as one of the top 40 nationally recognized Rheumatology Fellows In Training to participate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound training through the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists. He is certified in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound by the American College of Rheumatology. He also received a certification in clinical densitometry from the International Society of Clinical Densitometry. Due to his interest in bone health, he focused his research during fellowship on osteoporosis in patients with a history of breast cancer at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
