Care Philosophy: My goals are to engage patients in treatment decisions and encourage them to be active participants in their care; I believe in listening to patients first and foremost and having them dictate treatment choices. I don't always save lives, but I believe as a hand surgeon I am saving lifestyles—allowing all people to get back to doing what makes them happy as best they can—whether that is a hobby, an occupation, a sport or caring for their loved ones.

Care Philosophy: My goal is early diagnosis of the type of Arthritis and initiation of treatment to prevent further damage to the joints. I believe in empowering my patients with the latest knowledge and research about different disease states, which helps in medical decision-making and keeping them functional to enjoy life to the fullest.

Care Philosophy: Erin Moyer, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Moyer began her orthopedic practice as an active duty surgeon in the United States Navy, serving the sailors and marines of Camp Lejeune, both stateside and in combat while deployed to Afghanistan. She has specialty interests in trauma, sports medicine and all facets of general orthopedics. _x000D_ Dr. Moyer first became interested in the field of orthopedics, and sports injuries specifically, as an all-state Virginia high school basketball standout and a varsity basketball athlete at Johns Hopkins University. Her undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering further fueled her desire to pursue orthopedics as a career. _x000D_ In her off-hours, Dr. Moyer enjoys spending time with her son, playing piano, recreational basketball, golf, snowboarding and traveling. _x000D_

Care Philosophy: Dawson Brown, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in sports medicine and open and complex shoulder reconstruction. _x000D_ Dr. Brown believes in giving his patients time; not only to adequately hear their symptoms, concerns and goals, but also to provide them education and insight into their condition so they can make informed decisions about their treatment. The best outcomes, whether surgical or non-surgical, depend on mutual respect and understanding, excellent technical ability, clinical acumen and shared accountability. _x000D_ Dr. Brown is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America and American Academy of Orthopedic Sports Medicine. _x000D_ Dr. Brown volunteers his time and expertise as the team physician for South Kitsap High School and Bainbridge High School, and serves on their Athletic Medicine advisory boards. Biography: Jacob Mathew, MD is a fellowship trained, board-certified hematologist/oncologist who believes we are born with essential dignity and his goal is to preserve that dignity, at times using his medical knowledge and at other times just being there for his fellow man. Dr. Mathew believes that the practice of medicine should be evidence-based while simultaneously incorporating the art of medicine. To him, the art of medicine means he needs to be the advocate for his patients. He also hopes to empower his patients to play a pivotal role in their medical care and decision making by teaching them at least the basics of their disease.

Biography: Perry Mostov, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care. He also specializes in wound care.For Dr. Mostov, his favorite aspect of his work as a physician is hearing his patients' stories and discovering how their stories impact their health. He strives to learn what is most important to his patients so that he can deliver personalized medicine tailored to their concerns and goals.Away from work, Dr. Mostov enjoys exercise such as swimming, cycling and rowing, along with reading and spending time with his family.

Biography: Jillian Worth, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with special medical interests in eating disorders, adolescent health, women's health and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) Care. _x000D_ Dr. Worth especially enjoys working with adolescents and helping them to feel comfortable enough to share their concerns. She loves her ``Good Doctor Days,`` which she defines as those days when she feels connected with her patients and helps them find their own strength and do their own healing. _x000D_ Away from work, Dr. Worth enjoys hiking, biking and playing roller hockey with her husband and two sons.

Biography: Michael F. Tomberg, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care. Other special medical interests include mind and body medicine, adolescent health, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ) care. _x000D_ Dr. Tomberg strives to tap into the strengths of each individual, which he believes can help them to live a healthier and happier life. This involves listening to a patient's story and allowing the patient to learn something very important about themselves during the process. He especially enjoys working with adolescents to forge healthy habits for a lifetime. _x000D_ Away from work, Dr. Tomberg enjoys skiing, meditation, singing and general family antics.

Care Philosophy: Stacee Kessinger, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. Her education, as both a physician and orthopedic surgeon, allows her to identify and treat the complex medical, musculoskeletal and neurological problems which can contribute to foot and ankle pathology. _x000D_ Dr. Kessinger's approach to care is, first and foremost, to treat each patient as she would expect a member of her own family to be treated. She believes in spending the time to conduct a thorough medical history and examination of the problem at hand, and she strives to offer both surgical and non-surgical treatment options. _x000D_ Dr. Kessinger believes it is of the utmost importance to provide each patient with the education necessary to fully understand their condition and make an informed treatment decision. She is convinced that patient education and participation are critical elements to a successful outcome. _x000D_

Biography: David Cowan, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who cares for patients of all ages. His special medical interests include preventive medicine and preventive cardiology; management of lipid disorders; nutrition and fitness; and child nutrition.Dr. Cowan enjoys following patients over time and treating multiple generations of a family. He listens carefully to the story each patient tells about their symptoms and concerns, then identifies an approach to treatment that is holistic, harnessing the body's own capacity to heal.Dr. Cowan is a member of the American and Washington Academies of Family Practice. He is a founding member of Healthier Kids Bainbridge, a group focuses on improving food and health education in the schools.Dr. Cowan and his family enjoy theater, music, winter sports and cooking. He also works on vintage Volvos for fun.
