When I have a new patient in the office I really want to get to know outside of their medical condition. I first want to know who they are and then I want to know all of their medical problems, including what their history is, what their medicines are and what role stress or diet plays in their life. We put all of this together to figure out how can we really optimize their total health.``

Care Philosophy: ``My philosophy of care is the best way to treat something is by preventing it from becoming a problem in the first place. For example, I can't think of anything that makes me happier than helping someone to quit smoking and possibly avoiding a heart attack or stroke. I also like to make sure I have a very collaborative approach with my patient. I want to make sure that the plan that I come up with is something that a patient can actually do or actually wants to do because if it isn't, it's not going to work.``
