Biography: Douglas E. Politz, MD, is one of the most experienced parathyroid surgeons in the world, having performed over 8,000 parathyroidectomies. Care Philosophy: Dr John Kiluk is a surgical oncologist specializing in breast cancer in The Center for Women's Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. He was voted by his patients and peers asMoffitt's Physician of the Year in 2011. From an early age, Dr Kiluk accompanied his physician father on hospital rounds and learned the rewards of helping patients during a difficult time in their lives. Now, as a Moffitt breast surgeon, he values the opportunity to guide and support patients through every step of the process, from initial diagnosis through recovery. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in New Jersey, followed by a Geriatric Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas. He completed a Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at the University of Kansas. Dr Al-Jumayli's clinical focus is on the treatment of cancer in senior adults, particularly gastrointestinal Oncolgoy (GI) cancer with providing a personalized cancer care based on patients' functional status, general health, values, and goals.

Care Philosophy: Dr Amod Sarnaik is a surgical oncologist in the Department of Cutaneous Oncology,the Immunology Program and the Melanoma Center of Excellence at Moffitt Cancer Center. In addition, Dr Sarnaik holds an appointmentof associate professor of oncology and surgery at the University of South Florida. Dr Sarnaik's primary research interest involves investigation of novel immunotherapeutic treatments for melanoma. This includes tumor-based vaccines, immune-activating antibodies, targeted inhibition of oncogenic proteins and autologous T-cell therapy. His clinical interests focus on the surgical treatment of melanoma and other cutaneous-based skin cancers, sentinel lymph node biopsy techniques, and minimizing surgically-related morbidities.

Care Philosophy: Dr Kubal is an associate member in the Moffitt Cancer Center Malignant Hematology Department. He completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of South Florida at Moffitt Cancer Center, completing an MBA concurrently at the University of South Florida. Dr Kubal's research and clinical interests are in myeloid malignancies with a particular focus in acute leukemias. In addition to his clinical efforts, Dr Kubal serves as the medical director of process excellence and is focused on continuous improvement of the patient experience.Dr Kubal serves as Senior Medical Director of Moffitt at Wesley Chapel, and practices full time at the Moffitt Wesley Chapel campus.

He then completed a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology and Advanced Fellowship in Surgical Oncology Research at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Pimiento joined Moffitt from Mercy Health Partners/Mercy Health-St. Mary's and served as the Medical Director, Surgical Oncology at the Lacks Cancer Center. Dr Pimiento's clinical interest is in malignancies of the upper gastrointestinal tract, including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, colorectal and liver cancers.

Dr Zager is the Director of Regional Therapies at Moffitt's Donald A Adam Comprehensive Melanoma Research Center. Dr Zager is the Chair of the Department of Oncologic Sciences and a Professor of Surgery at the University of South Florida, Morsani School of Medicine. Dr Zager's research and clinical interests include the regional therapy treatment of cutaneous melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers, soft tissue sarcomas. Dr Zager is internationally known for the management and study of locoregionally recurrent melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer and soft tissue sarcoma.

Dr Phuoc received her MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She completed a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center, where she also served as Chief Fellow for the James A Haley Veterans' Hospital. Dr Phuoc's clinical focuses are benign and malignant hematology and breast cancers.

He is a senior Member of the Malignant Hematology and Experimental Therapeutics Program at the center, and a Professor in Medicine & Oncologic Sciences at the College of Medicine at the University of South Florida, in Tampa, Florida. After earning a medical degree in 1996 from the Jordan University School of Medicine, Dr Komrokji completed an internship and residency at Case Western University, St. Vincent Program. He then completed a fellowship at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester, in Hematology/Oncology and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.

Prior to joining Tampa General, he was the director of the George Washington University Cancer Center with responsibility and authority over all aspects of cancer care and research at GW and affiliated health systems. He was also a professor of medicine in the division of hematology/oncology at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Sotomayor specializes in the treatment of lymphomas and leukemias. The accomplished physician-scientist's ongoing research is directed toward cancer immunology and immunotherapy with special focus in developing novel immune-based approaches for the treatment of lymphomas and other hematologic malignancies. Considered as a world expert in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), he has more than 140 publications including seminal discoveries published in top tier journals such as Nature Immunology, Nature Medicine, Blood, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Cancer Cell among others. He has been the recipient of several awards, including the recipient of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) CURE Lifetime Achievement award in 2017. Dr. Sotomayor is involved in several major medical societies and organizations and currently is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board, Lymphoma Research Foundation, member of the Executive Committee of the Mantle Cell Lymphoma Consortium and member of several committees of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). He has also served in committees at the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI)

Biography: Dr. Huang is a fellowship-trained abdominal organ transplant surgeon. and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He earned his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis, MO and completed his residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Huang then went on to complete a fellowship with the LifeLink Transplant Institute in Tampa. He currently serves as the surgical director of renal transplantation for Tampa General Medical Group and is the vice chief of general surgery at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Huang also holds an affiliate assistant professor appointment from the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, department of surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, basketball, violin and photography. Dr. Huang is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, Spanish and French.

Biography: Dr. Pearson completed her medical degree and a residency in general surgery at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. During her residency she was awarded TGH Resident of the Month by the TGH nursing staff. Dr. Pearson went on to complete a fellowship in abdominal transplant surgery at Tampa General Medical Group where she gained extensive surgical experience. She is board certified in general surgery. Dr. Pearson has been involved in research activities including complications of renal transplantation and innovations in dialysis access, presenting her research at national conferences.
