Biography: Elizabeth Jaena, APRN, embarked on her career as a nurse practitioner in 2019, having earned a master's degree in family nurse practitioner from the United States University in San Diego, California. Before this, she spent 15 years working as a registered nurse in hemodialysis and the emergency department. Elizabeth takes pleasure in short trail hikes and going on road trips with her family. Daily meditation is key to allowing her to express gratitude, starting each day with a sense of purpose and focus, and preparing for the challenges of the day ahead. Coming from a family with a history of cardiovascular disease, it seemed inevitable that Elizabeth would choose cardiology as her specialty after graduation. She finds this field incredibly rewarding as it presents her with constant challenges and opportunities to keep up with ever-evolving innovations in treatments. Elizabeth constantly aspires to be a part of her patients' journey to health by promoting awareness of simple health choices as an adjunct to conventional medicine, hoping that this would have a positive impact on their overall well-being. She considers it an honor to care for patients and their families, knowing that each encounter fulfills the mission of being of service to one another.
