Biography: Dr. Stephen Infanger was born and raised in Victoria, Texas. He loves seeing all general cardiac concerns in his clinic. Dr. Infanger completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering summa cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2012. During this time, he performed research on biomedical polymers and trained with a focus in mechanics. From there, he continued to medical school at McGovern Medical School in Houston, TX and decided to pursue cardiology as a career. He was accepted to University of Alabama at Birmingham™s internal medicine residency in 2016 and continued his training there for his cardiovascular medicine fellowship. During that time, he gained an interest in all aspects of cardiac imaging as well as intraprocedural transesophageal echocardiography. Dr. Infanger is passionate about cardiac imaging because it is critical to the diagnosis and monitoring of treatment for valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, heart failure as well as arrhythmia management. Learning the nuances of each imaging modality is important to quality care for cardiovascular patients. When he is not in the hospital, Dr. Infanger enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with his family and pets.

Biography: Dr. Anirudh Bhargava hails from Alexandria, Louisiana. He completed his undergraduate degree at Emory University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavior Biology where he received the honor of Phi Beta Kappa. He completed medical school at Louisiana State University New Orleans in 2017 with induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the esteemed University of Alabama Birmingham in 2020 followed by a specialized cardiovascular disease fellowship at the same institution where he focused on advanced cardiac imaging along with developing a mastery in all aspects of cardiac care. He has had the privilege of working with master clinician scientists during his residency and fellowship with numerous publications in esteemed cardiovascular journals. He additionally has represented Alabama at the national American College of Cardiology FIT Jeopardy competition in 2023. He was voted among his peers as best teaching fellow during his fellowship. With a strong foundation in internal medicine and a focus on cardiovascular health, Dr. Bhargava's interests lie in various aspects of cardiology. His expertise extends to preventative cardiology, ensuring patients adopt healthy lifestyles to minimize the risk of heart disease. He is also interested in diagnosing and treating cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, peripheral vascular disease, and various other cardiac conditions both in the clinic and in the hospital. Dr. Bhargava possesses extensive knowledge and experience in various cardiovascular imaging techniques. He is well-versed in utilizing advanced technologies such as cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, advanced echocardiography, and nuclear imaging to diagnose and evaluate heart conditions accurately. Dr. Bhargava is driven by his passion of patient-centered care for patients of all walks of life, age, gender, and ethnicity. As a proud South Asian American, he is particularly interested in improving the cardiovascular health for those of South Asian descent (ie. Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nepali, and Sri Lankan). Dr. Bhargava focuses on addressing the epidemic of heart disease in this population. He is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive care and promoting awareness of cardiovascular diseases in these communities. In addition to English, Dr. Bhargava is fluent in Hindi and Urdu.
