Dr. Alexander began his medical studies at Kasturba Medical College and went on to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Alexander also completed his cardiology research and cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern. He completed his medical training with a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Temply University. Dr. Alexander is board-certified in both Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr. Alexander has held many prestigious academic appointments throughout his career. In addition, Dr. Alexander has been a part of a multitude of abstract and publications. Dr. Alexander is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and Voluntary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Houston College of Medicine. Dr. Sanchez dedicated two years of his life to the Colombian Army working as a medical officer. He moved to the United States in 1987, where he began his career as a Recipient of Intramural Research in the Pathology Branch at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. During his four years at this institution, he completed thirteen publications which focused on cardiovascular techniques of transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and autoradiography to study problems in Cardiovascular Medicine. He then went on to Medical College of Georgia where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine followed by a Fellowship in Cardiology with Baylor College of Medicine.
