He specializes in both sports medicine and arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. He is the head team physician for Florida International University and assistant team physician for the Florida Panthers hockey team. Over 2 years ago, he helped establish the relationship between Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Doctors Hospital to improve the healthcare of student athletes. Dr. Hechtman also serves as a clinical instructor for physician assistants and athletic trainers at Barry University, Miami Dade College and Nova Southeastern University. He was a physician for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. Dr. Kyriacou specializes in non-surgical treatments for acute, overuse and chronic orthopedic problems. She has a special interest in sports-related injuries, joint arthritis, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided procedures. During her fellowship training, Dr. Kyriacou was involved in stem cell, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and amniotic regenerative orthobiologic therapy. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Greek. During her fellowship, Dr. Kyriacou was part of the medical team for the Miami Dolphins, Florida International University, St. Thomas University and Barry University. She currently serves as a team physician for Florida International University. In 2019, Dr. Kyriacou was named Resident Teacher of the Year at Phoebe Health.
