No Time for Patients
After being discharged from the hospital, I had to wait three months to see Dr. Weitz. On the day of my appointment, I waited an hour and 45 minutes to be seen and eventually could wait no longer and was not seen by the doctor. This practice seems to have no respect for their patient’s time.

A completely useless appointment
The wait for the appointment was greater than four hours and the lack of professional attention was terrible.

I was sent to Doctor Weitz by another physician, so I called on April 13, 2021 to arrange a telehealth consultation. I was given an appointment for Friday April 23, at 2.45 p.m. I sat and waited up to 3. 45. p.m. and the promised telephone call never materialized. I then called the office to enquire if there was a problem and perhaps have a reschedule. I was placed on hold for an extended period. I eventually hung up. I still need a consult.

Yesterday, in extreme hip pain I had an appointment with Dr. Weitz. I was given thorough exams; his facility is highly equipped, his staff is Great, especially Stephanie who was very helpful and professional. Dr. Weitz has a Great manner: Highly empathetic, Very Knowledgeable and Experienced, and Very Thorough. He listened patiently, he explained everything about my condition and alleviated a lot of my fears, and the pain I was having. Today I am already feeling so much better after receiving medical advice from him, specific to my health issue, and prescriptions which were called in promptly by his office. I would give 100 stars to Dr. Weitz and his staff!!!

In my thirty years of being a patient in Dr. Weitz’s office, everything has remained fairly consistent: 1) Dr. Weitz is an outstanding physician who takes the time to respond to a patient’s individual needs, 2) there is a long wait time in his office, so bring something to read and be patient because seeing Dr. Weitz is worth the wait, 3) the staff rarely returns phone calls. I usually do not have the need to leave messages on the extension for Dr. Weitz, but the staff needs additional and urgent training regarding the importance of returning patients’ phone calls and subsequent follow through.

Dr. Michael Weitz is a very caring, personable, professional and intelligent doctor who has been my bone doctor for decades. I personally do not mind the very long wait time in order to obtain his medical advice. However, his staff rarely returns phone calls and is generally unprofessional - as well as indifferent - to the needs of the patients. I find this aspect of dealing with his office to be incredibly frustrating. Returning patients’ phone calls is basic to working in a medical office, yet they absolutely do not care. Call them on it and they will be dismissive as though you have no right to request that a call be returned! I am older now....I made a decision to speak up when something is just not right as I have the right to proper health care!

My parents (before passing) were patients of Dr. Weiss for over 25 years. I, too, am a patient of Dr. Weitz. I have never met another physician with such a caring bedside manner. Is he busy? YES. Do you have to wait (sometimes quite a while)? YES. Usually that is because he tries to spend quality time with his patients even while having to keep moving. His Physician's Assistant, Carrie, is also amazing. This doctor really "knows his stuff!"

I will never return, infact if you are planning to visit this office, run! On my initial consult he draw 15 assorted sizes of blood viles, some very large. After 2 weeks passed I didn’t hear from the office so I called and spoke with his nurse Stephanie and asked her for the results. She started laughing and told me my blood became lost in the office and never made it to the lab and that Dr. Weiss was aware of this and asked if I wanted to come back.I called him back,he never replied!

If you have 2 to 3 hours to wait to see the doctor then this is for you. Need anything from medical records, 7 calls and still waiting three weeks. The office is run very poorly.
