Thorough and composed practitioner.
70-year old male patient. I received a basic evaluation of visual acuity, specifically a refraction assessment to determine whether my eyeglass prescription needed to be updated. (It did.) The exam was conducted expeditiously but not rushed. Dr. Zhou listened to my concerns about vision problems due to a retinal disorder and explained what she could address and what she could not. I asked for guidance on low-vision aids and Dr. Zhou said that is not in her purview, so I may follow-up with another appropriate department. I noticed that my pupillary distance was not indicated on the prescription I was given and asked about it. Dr. Zhou returned to the front desk to provide that information. I will note that I was not given a color vision screening.

This was my first appointment in this office and I will definitely return and recommend to others. Everything done was clearly explained and my questions were answered. Dr. Zhou was on time and very efficient with time but at the same time I did not feel rushed. It was a great overall experience.

I felt very rushed by Dr. Zhou at my eye appointment, and when I picked up my new glasses I can not see out of them. I think my prescription is wrong. My vision in my new glasses is double vision and very blurry. I don't know what to do? I have diabetes, and need a Dr. with lots of experience with diabetic patients, I do not think Dr. Zhou took enough time with me and did a very thorough exam. My prescription is definitely not right.
