My experience with her has been incredible. She comes in and will listen patiently, asks questions accordingly when you’re done explaining your symptoms and takes notes both hand written and on the computer. Unlike other doctors, if she doesn’t understand something, she seeks clarification from her colleagues and we’ll do her best to research new drugs or other alternatives to help if you can’t get certain medication’s. I wish she could be over all my medical issues instead of just being my endocrinologist.

Pre-vaccine my primary physician of over 25 years cut me lose, recommended a youngster in his practice and told me to seek out an Endochrinologist for my developing kidney problems. With friends and family dying from Covid I looked for a dr. NOT based in a hospital. Three visits with Dr. Michelle Orr ended up the worst disaster of my life and shattered my faith in medical profession. She ignored my kidneys, and went after my in control type 2 diabetes. Orr changed all my meds, & further damaged my kidneys with $$$$ and a massive blood clot. Three months and two ER visits later, with Covid now raging I had 5 drs all located at NKCH. NP Myra Salazar & Dr. Hellman & staff were my saving graces. In the past 4 years I had 2 doctors retire and one die. I was able to follow NP Salazar to St Luke’s specialty clinic. Her medicine adjustments, & surveillance of my Continuous glucose monitors have my type2 back in MY control. Myra listens, advises, and has your back.
