Would not take into consideration what my minor daughter’s already established team wanted for care. Kathleen wanted to start with EDMR and my daughter needed DBT first to learn how to cope with emotions first, bc trauma/EDMR can be very dangerous if the patient can’t cope. I asked Kathleen to do it and she responded rudely and then quit. She should not be working with clients who need specialized treatment with the suggestions of other providers with BA’s, PhD’s, MA’s, and MD’s. Providers that cannot engage with a team approach with a patient and currently established providers are dangerous. Kathleen isn’t in this for the patient - after only ONE session with my daughter - she’s in it for her ego because she refuses to treat the patient with continuity of care. She has no business working with complex patients. Anyone can get a therapy certificate these days; it doesn’t mean they’re good with people.
