She was out of her depth and caused a lot of extra trauma that I've had to work through over the years. It's probably possible to have a positive experience if you are neurotypical or do not have complex trauma, however. She didn't have good boundaries, which is crucial to cultivating a sense of safety in therapy, and I often ended up feeling the need to center her feelings instead of my own. I did not feel seen or understood. She also failed to make sure I had continued mental health care after the end of my therapy with her, which is very serious since I could no longer get access to my medications from the company she worked for.
