Should not be dealing with people's mental health
This man was so abrasive on the phone, I didn't even have one visit with him. He is loud, abrupt, and unyielding. He tells you what he will and won't do without regard for your feelings or knowing the reason you are calling. He refuses to work with some EAP programs, and sometimes that is all we have right now. His answer is just sorry, he won't do that.

My interaction w/ Beilin was short and terrible. I left a message asking if he was taking on patients. He returned my call and asked if I wanted an appointment. I said "Yes, but do you mind if I ask you a couple of questions?" He said, "No" but sounded annoyed. I asked "What's your theoretical orientation?" (Any person seeking help should ask this because the answer tells you what kind of therapy they practice (e.g., CBT, psychoanalysis, art therapy)). Anyway, he says, "I don't have time for this. I expect that if you call me, you already know who I am. You can look me up on Psychology Today. I have 35 patients. I don't have time for these types of questions." Wow. So, I calmly explained that I did look him up and that I saw his specialties and all the books he's written, but I didn't see his theoretical orientation. So then he says, "I'm CBT, but eclectic." I wasted exactly 58 seconds of his time. Needless to say I didn't book. Step 1 to being a good therapist: don't be a jerk.

George Beilin is a joke. Not only did he eventually send the paperwork that he said he was going to mail but he did not have the correct name, now I’m not saying he didn’t spell it right I am saying he got the wrong first name completely even after a couple communications and emails. My husband was looking for some help he has primary progressive MS and all he got from this guy I won’t even call him a Dr was to be belittled. My husband hung up on him. The next day I called him and he didn’t even want to hear one sentence out of my mouth. My next step of action is to call and find out who to report him to. After I called him a few choice names for how he talked to my husband , My husband got texts belittling him further. Do not walk away RUN!!!!
