I met him at the ER at UMich and it was an encounter to forget. He lacks empathy and needs more training about bed side manners and physical exam.

Went to the Univ. of MI ER for severe pain on the right side of my face, temple, ear, and jaw. I also had several lesions in my mouth. Waited in a room for over 4 hours without even a blanket. Saw this PA first, who looked in my mouth and basically ignored what I was saying. Did not see the doctor until the very end, when he told me to go see an oral surgeon but, "the lesions in my mouth would be gone before they got me in."I was completely disregarded. To add insult to injury, I was billed for going to the ER for mouth lesions and my claim was denied because it was not an emergency. Turns out I had Shingles and Postherpetic Neuralgia which is permanent damage to my peripheral nerve. I will possibly be medicated long term for this issue. I believe they assumed I was a drug addict and was there trying to get pain medicine. They thought if I sat long enough I would just leave. I genuinely thought they would help me. I am also filing a complaint with the state as well.
