I see Dr. Depew for my Chronic Granulomatous Disease, I couldn't be happier. I'm pretty hard to please, But; Dr, Depew, was to the point right away like it should be, he told me the facts of my condition, & showed me my CT Scan. He was willing to answered my questions & willing to offer other health areas to seek out, to optimize my whole health outcome. I'm so grateful to have such a caring knowledgeable Pulmonologist.

Dr. Depew appears to be a good M.D. who takes his job seriously & is well considered by other doctors. Though unable to help me, my frustration is directed at staff. He'd said: "Phone & let me know if the meds work". Staff will not let you talk to him or his student (tried multiple times). Nor leave a four-sentence message. At the end of two (never got further) they become impatient/hostile, asking "What do you want". I've said to leave a 4-sentence message? Then your coughing starts...

I met with Dr. Depew on 4/12/2017, prior to my appointment he had run some breathing tests the week before. I was very impressed with his easy to understand way he explained what was going on and the recommendations he suggested. He took his time, and allowed me time to speak and ask him questions. I'm 70 years old, and at this stage in my life communicating with the Doctor is so important in order for me to maintain a healthy future. When I left his office, I felt that I was in good hands.

Dr. DePew is a very skilled physician. I was in Bergan Hospital with shortness of breath. X-rays revealed a pleural effusion which needed to be drained. Two pulmonologists refused to do it because I was on Plavix. Dr. DePew was called in and after he reviewed the x-rays, he performed a successful thoracentesis. After two days, I received a cancer diagnosis. He was instrumental in helping me select an oncologist for treatment. I highly recommend him. He cares about his work.
