Dr. Zachary Cavanaugh, MD

Dr. Cavanaugh from Middlesex Orthopedic and Spine in Middletown, CT., from the very beginning was fantastic. He actually listened to me. He treated me with respect, understanding, compassionate, felt my pain and frustration. My total hip replacement included a revision of removing 3 steel pins that were implanted in 1975. A normal surgery I understand could be from forty-five minutes to three hours. Not sure on the accuracy of that. My husband said my surgery took approximately seven and a half hours and then the doctor came out and explained things to my husband, and made sure he was ok. My husband said the doctor sat with him for 30-35 minutes. I am SO IMPRESSED by his professionalism and how he relates to each patient’s needs no two are ever the same. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Cavanaugh 1000%. Thank you Dr. Cavanaugh so much. After 4 years of not being able to walk more than 29 steps — walking with a limp - one leg shorter than the other is so wonderful.

Dr Cavanaugh saved my life…literally! I was in a huge car accident where my legs were crushed. When I met him, I had had 8 surgeries already and some rods placed. I also had an infection where I almost lost my leg. He cleared that up and then performed 10 more surgeries on me so I could sort of walk again. He has excellent patient compassion and bedside manner. I will recommend him to anyone, any time. He is just amazing!!
