Dr. Lam leaves much to be desired
I waited four months for my appointment with Dr. Lam, eager to discuss several dermatology concerns. She enforces a strict policy requiring patients to arrive at least 15 minutes early, with the risk of being rescheduled if late. Respecting this, I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment. However, I was not seen until slightly over an hour past my scheduled appointment time. Other patients in the waiting area voiced similar frustrations about excessive wait times. If Dr. Lam expects punctuality from patients, she should uphold the same standard in respecting their time. Despite the long wait, my actual consultation with Dr. Lam lasted less than five minutes. She seemed uninterested and did not provide a treatment plan or meaningful guidance. To make matters worse, I was informed by her staff that each concern requires a separate appointment, which seems unreasonable.Overall, the experience was disappointing due to a lack of thorough care, indifference, and excessive wait times.

My husband and I were disappointed in our visit-Dr Lam was very rushed, did not use her hands to find AKC nor did she listen as my husband tried to explain a recurring lesion. We are used to better care with our previous dermatologist in another state. Will find another provider,

Very rushed. She didn’t offer to treat what I came in for, just said some long word and its not cancerous. Spent 3 min with me. I never got to ask any questions. Not a overly friendly office in all.

The reason I'm giving Dr. Lam a poor review is because she is very quick to cut you off and doesn't provide a space where clients can ask questions and make an informed decision. I went for my initial appointment to discuss concerns about bumps on my face which she informed was a condition called sebaceous hyperplasia. I tried to ask questions before deciding to come back but I felt she was very rushed and would cut me off to answer before I was able to finish. I came back to have a procedure done to address the hyperplasia. Once she was done, again I asked a few questions to have her THEN tell me more in detail about the condition and inform me that they would more than likely come back as it is common but yet failed to tell me this at our initial consultation. As I asked questions about follow up care, again she was quick to be done and cut me off before I was done asking questions. I would not recommend her services unless you don't mind being rushed through your appointment, don't

To be clear: I get along well with doctors and generally have very positive experiences with them. Ms. Lam was the worst experience I’ve had as a patient. I had one visit with her, approximately two years ago, and left in tears. I’ve suffered from acne and other skin-oriented disorders since I was a young teenager, and I am very used to visiting with dermatologists. Her entire office was rude, with the exception of the guy who accompanied her in the room during my exam. She 1. did not agree with the diagnosis of a dermatological disease I definitely have and 2. could not hide her disgust at my condition. I could tell I was repulsing her, and she couldn’t get me out fast enough. She told me every doctor and derm was incorrect in their diagnosis of my condition and then told me to buy Panoxyl at the drugstore. I paid $200+ for a 10 minute visit and left humiliated. I would write much more but there is a character limit. Stay very far away from this office.

I saw both Dr. Lam and her PA. Her PA didn't even bother looking at the concern I came in with, and Dr. Lam did for about 10 seconds. They both kept pushing the expensive, cosmetic treatment for me instead of the oral/topical treatments and I left my appointment both times with increased anxiety and depression about my condition. I would not recommend either since they are not thorough at all, and I left feeling very unheard and untaken care of.

She is to the point but she is my Dermotologist not my therapist! She has taken care of everything I have needed. It is nice to know up front what Insurance will take care of and what they will not instead of being surprised with a bill later. I recommend her.

I was referred to Dr lam by my pcp... I did not choose her. She is nice enough but whatever you do don't bother her, she's too busy. I've been twice and feel dismissed. She did prescribe medication for my acne issues but I find it funny that she was able to diagnose anything given she didn't even look at my acne!! Then after taking the Meds for a month and returning all she did was ask me how it was.... Didn't check for progress, nothing!!!! It would be nice if she would do a thorough job. I'

Dr. Lam is an excellent dermatologist. The office is always clean and inviting, and her office staff is very friendly and helpful. I have never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes to be seen (in both the waiting room and patient room). I have recommended her to many of my friends and will continue to do so!

Went in for exam. Had a bunch of pre-cancerous spots zapped with the freeze spray. I asked for a spot to be removed that was bothering me. Lam said "insurance doesnt cover that, it will be an extra $25". ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Lam is whats wrong with the health industry. Her interest is not in treating the patient... in my needs... it is all about the money with this doctor. If you are reading this review... keep looking, try and find a doctor that has the needs of the patient at heart...

Very dismissive and does not try. If you have concerns forget about them being heard. For my new patient appointment, I was with the doctor less than 3 minutes. She is also just rude. I also had to listen to an inappropriate story that the people at the front desk told (with kids in the room) more than once. If you want to pay $125 to listen to what the people at the front desk did last night, see a doctor for 3 minutes and then wait a week to get your medicine then this is the place for you!!

Great office and staff. My son and I needed to get in for a last minute appt and they were able to get me in same day. They quickly checked and saw my insurance was contracted with them. We saw Ivy and she treated us like we were family. She took time to explain what I needed to do when I went home. She was patient with my 3 year old son and prescribed me medication which saved me from my misery. I highly recommend coming here.

Seen as a new patient last year by the PA who spent about 5 minutes with me, did no full body exam in spite of my history of a dysplastic nevus, and said come back in 6 months. I did, hoping things would be better. At check-in I said my insurance changed. The clerk looked at the card and said I couldn’t be seen without a referral. I knew I did not need a referral and told her. She didn’t bother to run my insurance or call the company to verify. Guess they have all the business they need.

If i could rate less than 1 star I would. Dr. Lam's bedside manor is one of the worst i have ever seen or been through. She inaccurately diagnosed one of my family members and they way she treated us it was PATHETIC. We have seen 3 specialist since and have WAY better results.

Lacking mold removal experience. Rushed through appointment doctor not friendly at all. Helper showing her scar on chest from mold removal I have had many moles removed, even on my face and never had a scar. Not satisfied at all I felt very uncomfortable and I don't usually do reviews but think they need to know.
