Professional and Caring
I was very concerned about a new "mole" that had appeared and was evolving over a 12 month period. I love the sun and was concerned it was skin cancer. Dr. Weingartner made me feel very comfortable and took the time to explain it was not malignant but could remove the SK with cryotherapy. He was extremely professional and kind and listened to my concerns. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a dermatologist.

New to the area...
I recently moved to the Norman area and was looking for a dermatologist to renew a prescription for psoriasis and establish a relationship. I had read a couple of the negative reviews, however a friend said her husband sees Dr. Weingartner and couldn't be happier. I chose to listen to my friend, and couldn't be happier that I did. Super nice staff, no wait time, and Dr. Weingartner was friendly and knowledgeable. Would have no hesitation referring someone else to see him either!

Policy, policy, policy
Had long COVID and was dropped from their roll as a patient. Was not give any notice and they called and cancelled my prescription refills so now I have to wait over 90 days to see a new doctor with no medication. And they kept quoting policy. No concern for patient care.

Very rushed and mis-diagnosed my condition leaving me to need urgent treatment. Did not thoroughly check all areas of my skin condition and downplayed my symptoms.

He had no diagnosis for me and yet did a biopsy. Clueless. My GP helped me in the end. Would not recommend.

Dr. Weingartner is a kind, caring, and well-read dermatologist. I had seen many doctors for acne before being referred to Lam Dermatology in Norman and had no luck. He was knowledgable, respectful, and gave me choices about how to start my treatment. He explained the rationale behind my different choices and respected my decision. Once my acne was treated, he gave me a medication to reduce scarring, explaining the science behind it. I have used it and seen marked results. Now that I have moved, I hope to find another dermatologist as knowledgable as he is.

Joshua Weingartner styles himself as a physician yet he has no compassion. A patient suffering from complex health issues, the least of which is monitoring for and treatment of proven malignant dermatological issues, should probably seek treatment elsewhere. Perhaps if one goes in bowing and scraping, one might be spared accusations of attacking him. Even a miserable patient would never wish to offend such delicate sensibilities.

I went in to get a suspicious spot on my nose froze. No problem, and much better than my previous dr that froze a big chunk of skin for a similar deal. Also took the time to do a quick skin check on this first visit, and he detected an innocuous spot that tested positive and later had to be removed. Like his proactive and pragmatic approach.
