Dr. Yanelis Martin, MD

I had a terrible experience with this endocrinologist's office. First, I had to reschedule my initial appointment because the office failed to inform me that I needed labs done beforehand. The doctor sent the lab order directly without any notice to me, the patient. For my second appointment (telehealth), they left a voice message saying I needed to pay in advance. I called over six times, tried every extension, and left three voice messages with no response. Finally, at 3:15 PM, I reached the billing department and made the payment. They assured me the doctor would call, but she never did. When I called again at 4:28 PM, I was sent to voicemail because the office was closed. Unresponsive, disorganized, and extremely frustrating service.

1. They speak Spanish to you from the get go and they get offended if you asked them to speak English (that is pretty much the whole office)2. I was seen first by a physician assistant “PA”. Briefly by Dr.Martin.3. When I complained that I don’t want to see the PA, only the doctor, and wanted to speak in English, they fired me from the practice by saying they don’t rake my insurance. They didn’t even offer me to pay cash, which I certainly could have done to see the doctor. 4. And by the way, that picture of the doctor must be 25 years ago. A lot changes with time.

Dr Marín makes you feel at ease. Professional and easy going at the same time. She listens, explains and you know she cares and really wants to help you. Wish more doctors were like her.Best experience at a Dr’s office in a very long time. Front desk assistants were very helpful and diligent.I know I’m in the hands of one of the best Doctors in Miami.100 % recommend!

Dr. Martin is an excellent Doctor. But her front desk needs improvement. I called to correct insurance information which I had done once before. I called and the person answered and asked for me to please hold which I did after 10 minutes a recording came on saying no one available at the extension and asked if another extension is available. I pushed 0# which would send me back to the operator or front desk and a person picked up and this time didn't speak and immediately hung up. I'm calling to correct an issue which I already addressed and am having to do a second time. This is sad and if not addressed will lose a lot of patients.

I have been a patient for a few years now and I would highly recommend her she has made a tremendous improvement to my condition.

I recently went to Dr. Martin’s office when my endocrinologist office closed down. I wish I would’ve seen their office from the beginning because they are AMAZING in every single way. I was able to get an appointment within a reasonable time, before it would usually take months to see a DR, PA or NP. I arrived before my appointment, which is standard for every doctors appointment and I was seen really fast. The staff was very friendly and professional. I saw the Physician Assistant, Kayla, and she was Extremely professional and knowledgable. She took her time to discuss my entire medical history and answer all of my concerns. The treatment came from a place of understanding and empathy, which is very rare to find nowadays. She was extremely helpful and had all the records from my previous healthcare provider. I would recommend their office over and over again for all of the aforementioned reasons. I strongly recommend Kayla and Dr.Martin’s office for all endo related needs. They are extremely organized, clean, friendly and professional.

I drove 1:30 minutes from Palm Beach County for my appointment by Dr. Martin. The appointment was at 10:30 am and I was seen at 12:30 pm, 1st problem. The two stars goes to the friendly Physical Assistant who took care of me. However, I didn't drive that far and wait 2 hours to not be seen by an Endocrinologist. I think it is an abuse and a deception to ask for an appointment with a Doctor and end up being attended by someone who is not. The PA did a good job and that is appreciated, however, this is unacceptable. I am sure my insurance will pay for an appointment with a MD not a PA

They offer tele health and in person visits which is so helpful. Prescriptions and orders are promptly sent via email

Felt taken care of from the moment I entered the office. Staff is warm and Doctor Martin is professional and goes the extra mile to take care of all concerns.

Es muy profesional y es muy humana. Se toma el tiempo necesario para escuchar nuestras preguntas. Nos admiró mucho su buena memoria. Recuerda a cada paciente como persona y no como un número o una cantidad de dinero en su banco. Nos da las buenas noticias y las no tan buenas con ternura y comprensión. Vale la pena hacer una cita con ella si tiene problemas de tiroides y metabolismo. Ella ciertamente le dará la ayuda que necesita.

Dr. Martin was extremely thorough and caring throughout my visit. She thoroughly reviewed my labs done by previous doctors and took the time to speak to specialists regarding my case. She never rushed the appointment, rather she took the time to be thorough and very kind. She was worth the wait.

This review is not about the doctor but her staff. I had to call several times within 15 minutes because the person answering the phone (same voice of answering recording) kept answering “hold on a second” and each time she made me wait approx. 5 minutes and never returned to the phone. She never asked to take my number to call me back either Horrible!
