My son was having high fever (103+), bad cough, and bad diarrhea for 6 days, so I took him to Patient First Urgent Care, and was seen by Dr. Zan. After all the negative test results for flu/covid/strep/x-ray, he couldn't give a good explanation, which is OK and understandable. But his attitude in answering my questions was very bad, rude and unprofessional, the worst I've ever experienced among many dozens of doctors I've visited. Also his medical knowledge is limited. Since we just traveled to Central America for vacation, I was afraid that my son might have got some weird disease from mosquito bites, e.g., dengue fever. He couldn't answer my questions directly, except a lot of nonsense in a very unprofessional way. However, when I got home and looked carefully at my son's blood test results, I could even conclude that the risk of dengue fever is very low, because his white blood cells & platelets counts are all in good normal ranges. If Dr. Zan were knowledgeable, he could have easily pointed to these results and answer my questions directly in a more professional way. Very disappointed!

VERY RUDE! ZERO BEDSIDE MANNER
This Dr. wouldn't even walk the whole way into the exam room I was in. He popped his head in and mumbled something. A nurse came into to tell me I was being prescribed a medication. I literally had to track him down for him to explain my diagnosis which he never did (another Dr. had to) because Dr. Zan refused to look at me while speaking to me and wasn't even speaking in full sentences. Zero bed side manner and straight up rude. Dr. James Donaldson was very kind and explained everything that needed to be. I will never go to Patient First in Catonsville MD to avoid ever having to deal with this miserable man. I cannot believe how rushed I felt once back in the exam room. Pretty much the worst urgent care experience I've ever had...

Extremely rude and cold. Didn’t explain anything to me and made no sense. Most importantly he did not stitch up my hand when multiple other doctors said I needed stitches. After waiting 3 hours to see him with a bleeding hand, he tells me to go to the ER if it’s still bleeding tomorrow.

He came into the exam room singing and muttering to himself, rarely even looked at me. He said deep breathing will bring blood pressure down. It did help but it would be great if he had a little compassion. He comes off as being rude and condescending.

Excellent. I am RN and I personally saw him multiple times. Also I brought my brother and mother to this doctor because he has vast experience with trustworthy medical decisions.

Very rude doctor! I saw him at the patients first in catsonville where i attend college because i couldn't drive back home to see my family doctor. He was very rude, dismissive and judgemental. Very loud and unpleasant! would never recommend. He judged quickly because of my age, and shouted: "you need to take a pregnancy test"... like i would magically be pregnant while not being active. He didn't believe me when i said i wasn't active... Very stupid doctor!

He has HORRIBLE bedside manners and doesn’t listen at all. I was so upset and still in pain when I left, that I actually started crying. I will NEVER go back to see him. The front desk woman and tech were nice and polite, but he’s not a person I ever wish to see again for the rest of my life.
