Dr. William Chang, DO

Dr. Chang might be fantastic, but the office staff at Paloma Medical are some of the worst I have ever encountered. It took a long time to get an appointment to see Dr. Chang, but once I did I found myself treated with compassion and care in regards to my significant sleep issues. However, my insurance only covers one sleep study every sixth months and I need another one. It took three weeks for the referral for the second sleep study to even get to me via the portal or phone call. Now that the sixth months is up, I have been calling for over two months to get a simple question answered of if I can even use the old referral or if I need a new one. The office staff either never answers any questions, nor calls you back, and that's if you can even get them on the phone. I've waited multiple days in a row on hold for over 20 minutes for a callback feature they NEVER USE. I would recommend Dr. Chang if he worked at a different office.

My beloved mother and brother have under Dr. Chang's care for years. And now he's my Pulmonologist for over a year. His entire staff have been always friendly and helpful. Both offices at two different locations are always clean and beautiful. Dr. Chang takes his time explaining everything and give you the time to ask questions and makes my mom and brother feel comfortable and he never rushes you. Such an amazing, caring doctor and generous with his time. Dr. William Chang should be The Doctor Of The Year of 2024 in California!

He's the one physician that is actually worth seeing (and I see a lot of specialists). He takes whatever time is needed to discuss diagnosis and treatment plan. He's extremely thorough and up to date with latest treatment options. More importantly, he speaks to me as a learner. I'm the kind of person that wants to know the reason behind treatment, what the expected outcome is, whether its temporary or permanent solution, whether I'm treating symptom or pathology, etc. He is so good with explaining application of conventional wisdom vs. new developments and how they differ. He's smart, respectful and stays up to date with latest.

I saw Dr. Chang in March and 6 months later I am still waiting to receive my CPAP supplies. I have called his office numerous times - all calls go to an answering service and no one ever calls me back. I called the cpap supply vendor and they told me they have contacted the office multiple times for my prescription. I have spent so much time trying to get my equipment; I am baffled by the lack of help.

Dr. Chang is the best Doctor we have. He has definitely has gone above and behind with his compassion and care. Very top notch doctor. Appreciated very much.

Dr. Chang is the BEST Doctor!!!!!! I am very happy and satisfied with him. Dr.Chang goes above and beyond for all his patients. He truly shows that he cares for his patients and always takes time explaining you results and listening to you.

Dr Chang takes his time to listen and take into consideration the "whole patient", not just symptoms. He is efficient in assessing conditions, and recommending a plan that proves to deliver results. I would highly recommend him!
