Awesome pediatrician!
Dr. Barrett is great! We’ve seen him since our first newborn visit. He explains everything with good detail, answers all our questions and takes his time with each visit. He’s been great with Gwyneth and very thorough in his exams. We have really liked having Dr. Barrett!

HORRIBLE Doctor Visit
Took my youngest son in for a checkup. Was told to I could leave the room and the doctor would be in shortly. Asked to speak with the doctors about a medical concern. Dr. Barrett Came in and was very rude. He shuffled papers and was on his computer the entire time I tried to tell him my concerns. I was dismissed. Waited in another area for a long time before the nurse came & gave me the generic check-up papers. Asked wasn’t the doctor going to speak with me. He wasn’t. HORRIBLE visit!! Catawba Pediatrics has gone downhill. Very Very upset with How we were treated. They had been treating my children for over 19 years - I will now. E looking for a new doctor!! RUN from this place. I would NOT recommend Dr. Barrett!!!

Patient & Empathetic
First time mom to a 17MO girl - I was being overly cautious about a situation. I was mostly confident she was fine but wanted a doctor to look her over just in case. Dr. Barrett was kind and understanding of my worry. He listened to all my concerns and thoroughly assessed the situation. We usually see another pediatrician at this practice just because she was assigned when I was pregnant. However, I would gladly make an appointment with Dr. Barrett if she was unavailable.
