We took our son in (at the recommendation of his pediatrician) a few years ago. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. She did not listen, seemed to purposely make the appointment more difficult, and eventually requested we find care elsewhere for seemingly no reason. The nurse who called to tell me this apologized profusely and said she did not understand why Dr. Boone was asking this. I gave our pediatrician a heads up and he called to apologize on behalf of their office after reading the notes in Epic. He said she was extremely unprofessional and has never seen that level of y professionalism before. He said he has been less likely to refer other patients to Vandy in recent years because of our experience. A second opinion elsewhere recommended an MRI within a few minutes of meeting my son. I wish I had reported her to the hospital system but it’s been awhile now so I doubt it’ll do much good.
