I didn’t mind the Doctor but the staff is horrible, unorganized and not fluent customer service. I walk out of an appt after waiting for 2 hours. The had 10 people waiting in waiting room, standing room only during this Corona virus. Do no go here!

I have been a patient of Dr. Merritt for about 10 years. I have had nothing but the best of care. I am so grateful for his help. Pain makes you a different person. He has been able to help me control my pain so that my quality of life can be the best it can be. I have never had a bad experience with him or any of his staff. Dr. Merritt asks questions to make sure he understands what is going on with me and then listens while I explain. This is not what I experience with other doctors. He is not a rush in and rush out kind of doctor. Dr. Merritt is the best doctor I have ever had! He will ask about my health in general and truly cares about what is going on with me. I am grateful for the care I have received and do not know how I would be doing without his help. I highly recommend Dr. Merritt.

Highly unprofessional staff and office. His nurse, Tami, told me I was not allowed to bring my husband in to my appt. for emotional support because, as she said, "He's never been to one of your appts before!" This is unethical and completely unacceptable. I have left multiple voicemails with his office and info they needed and somehow none of them were ever received. I have also heard the office manager yelling at staff in the back, highly unprofessional. When I asked for help with Cigna paperwork to file for Short Term Disability and an ADA accommodation for a new chair at work, Tami saw the paperwork she told me "No, I am NOT competing that!" So, I had no help for an accommodation despite the fact that Dr. Merritt was the one who suggested and approved it in the first place. I was so disappointed in the unethical practices of this office. What do you do when you genuinely need help and the nurse and doctor won't even let your spouse go with you for support? Avoid this office!

Highly disrespectful and rude staff. His staff (Tami) told me I was not allowed to bring my husband to an appt. with me for emotional support as I had never brought him to the office before. UNACCEPTABLE. His staff never returns calls and mysteriously never receives any voicemails from patients. When I asked Tami for help on getting Cigna paperwork completed for my short-term disability and ADA accommodation at work, she said "Yeah, it was so long, I'm not filling that out." As a result I was not able to get an accommodation for my health situation, even though Dr. Merritt suggested several pieces of equipment to help me work more successfully. This office has been such a disappointment. When you are in pain, you need help and support. Both he and his staff don't care to provide either. -Nicole in McKinney

Dr. Merritt, is one of my favorite doctors to visit. He does not waste your time, but he does ensure all your questions and concerns are answered. He goes out of his way to help his patients with finding specialists that are specialized for your issue. I have always been met with a warm handshake and a smile. While he does not judge, he does keep things honest and real. He will not just throw pills at you to get your money or push you out the door.

I absolutely love him! He has been my doctor since I was 18 years old, I am now 23 (24 in February). He has always been an amazing listener,I know every staff member by name, they all know my name as well, and ask how I am ect.. I was going to be on disability, but he doesn't want me to give up, nor will he in his own words I refuse to give up on you, we got this. We've had our ups and downs like any other long term patient and doctor, but I would never go anywhere else!! With love,Elisab.Darr
