If you're looking for an ENT, I would not recommend Dr. Allison. To make a long story short- I started experiencing reoccurring ear and sinus infections, when I've never experienced them before. At this time, I was awaiting for an initial PCP appointment and was recommended to visit Dr. Allison. I met with Dr. Allison and he immediately wanted to "twist my arm" on surgery for a deviated septum and an allergy panel. While I was open to it, I was more interested to the cause of this sudden reoccurring illness. He ignored my questions and concerns each time I went back for a check up, and I kept getting sick. I continued to see Dr. Allison for a CT scan and multiple Bilateral scopes, because I was told to go back if I still had symptoms. At this point I did not want to see Dr. Allison, but had already established care and did not want spend more money on the same tests with new doctors. I became fed up and scheduled an allergy test - the closest appointment was three months away. The second to last time I saw Dr. Allison, I'd asked to switch doctors within Advance ENT because I felt another highly rated Dr. was in the same practice. I was told it's against Advanced ENT's policy and they do not treat other doctors patients. Instead, they recommended seeing the nurse practitioner on his team, because "she is a woman and will likely listen to you". Regardless, I scheduled an appointment with her and Dr. Allison came in anyway. Not listening, not answering questions, prescribing me another antibiotic and steroid. I was told to "be patient" when becoming frustrated nothing we were doing was yielding results and worried I would get ill again while traveling internationally. Which, I did get ill while traveling with the same symptoms. Fast forward to a month later after seeing my New PCP; I had a common viral infection- not a bacterial one. By not listening to me and prescribing me antibiotics and steroids without getting to the root cause, my immune system was more suppressed and couldn't fight the virus. After not taking any medication, I was symptom free within 7 days. I was sick for 13 weeks and on antibiotics/steroids for 10 of those weeks, spending hundreds of dollars on just visits. If you're looking for a doctor who will listen, care, and respect you; I'd keep looking.

Grate experience
Was seen at the appointment scheduled time. Dr. Allison and his staff were very kind, knowledgeable and efficient in their care for me. I was impressed! Had a question and called the office, they responded within a couple of hours and were very patient with me .

Doesn’t listen
He did not listen to the concerns we had about our 2 y/o daughter and actually laughed and said that a CT scan would be overkill. 5 days later she went to the ER and had a malignant tumor removed from her brain. He is very dismissive and we waited almost 2 hours past our appointment time to see him. I never write reviews but this felt important enough to not recommend.

Won’t see him in the future.
Felt his tone and manor of explaining things was rude. Sat in office for 1 hour and a half. Saw he less than five minutes at the end of the appointment. His explanations contradicted themselves. Felt he didn’t take the time to listen about my concerns, and laughed it off when I walked out confused and unhappy.

Unprofessional, demeaning, impatient, rude.
Treated my 70 year old mother with total disrespect. She was a new patient and this man treated her with such horrible bedside manner. He was impatient, condescending to her health concerns and rude. I would not refer any living being to this so called Dr. Wes Allison at Advanced ENT & Allergy.

Excellent Doctor
Dr. Allison is knowledgeable and compassionate. I recently seen him for my sinuses and the meds he prescribed are making me feel better. I have suffered with allergies and sinuses all my life. Also, my husband was treated by Doctor Allison for neck cancer. He is a wonderful doctor. We live 1 1/2 hrs from Louisville. His office always takes care of us.

I had a video appointment with Dr. Allison that seemed unwarranted. Advanced ENT emailed me suggesting that I perform my weekly injections at home. It sounded great however no where did it say it was not available if you have asthma. I had an official video visit just to have one question answered. Perhaps that is on me. I would hope moving forward more information would be made available so time is not wasted nor money. Great idea however to get people to throw $100 dollars away.

I will never go back to this doctor. He didn't seem to listen to my problem, the one test they ran was negative so that was good enough for him. Didn't even try to help me. Maybe was with me 5 min. I was so fustrated when I left, never again will I see this doctor for my health !!

Dr. Allison is the best Dr I have ever met. He took care of my daughter 3 years ago and recently. He is taking care of my Dad. He cares about his patients. He is super talented. He listen to the patients and He not only take care of your problems. He search deep to find what causes it. I am giving him and his team a 5 stars rate but they deserve a 100 stars.

Dr. Allison is wonderful! He is very helpful when I have questions. When I ask my questions he listens and cares about my daughters health. I never feel like I am getting pushed out the door so he could see the next patient. He really spends the time that is needed with us. My daughter loves him. He is great with kids. My daughter was really sick with a high fever and tonsillitis. When I called they said he was booked for a month but they were able to squeeze me in the very next morning.

I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy. Does not listen. Went to see him for ear pain and he treated me like it was all in my head. Had he bothered to look at my medication for which he had the list, he could have seen that one of the side effects was ear pain. I found this out later when I got a computer. Instead he treated me like I was wasting his time. When one sees a doctor you are a customer that deserves respect! Obviously he wasn't listening when he took pharmacology.

Do not go to this office or this doctor. Every aspect of this practice is poorly run from front to back, from the wait times (8:40 appointment time and we walked out at 11:15) to the bedside manner (the discussion about placing ear tubes was, "Let's get you on the schedule for tubes) to the clear implication that I was a billing opportunity, not a patient. All this has been consistent through four visits to this provider (at two different offices). Find a better doctor!

Dr. Allison cares more about shooting the breeze with his staff outside the door than meeting with patients who may have taken off work to be there. In the three or four times I've seen him, I've scheduled an early-morning appointment, only to actually see him late morning--and it is not other patients who are responsible for the delay. He is nonalarmist to the point of brushing off serious questions and does not return phone calls. Trying another doctor in the practice because of the location.

Dr. Allison is great. I had a very scary episode of SSHL (Sudden Deafness) which I didn't even know existed before it happened. Sometimes people don't even recover their hearing but Dr. Allison knew what to do to save me and restore my hearing completely. Very happy.

Dr. Allison was extremely knowledgable and his bed side manner was amazing. My mother had a tracheostomy and her trachea was collapsing at the base causing her to have loss of oxygen. He even showed me threw the scope. So, I was able to see exactly what the issue was. He referred her to a colleague and they had a special trach designed to be long enough to pass the collapse of her trachea. Excellent in every way! Thank you!
