Wonderful
Dr. Bi is a doctor sent by angels. She is knowledgeable, has admirable manners, and truly cares about her patients. She is indeed complete - a great doctor and a great human being. She sets an example for all. I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to her Physician Assistant, McCaela Sullivan. They are both wonderful! I could spend the day talking about how much I admire them. Thank you for the exceptional care!

I am a PA, my father has stage 4 cancer with Mets to the brain. Dr Bi has treated my father twice now undergoing surgical resection of his tumors. I have complete faith in her skills and trust her with my father’s life and any other family or friend that would need her expertise. As a clinician myself I am in complete awe of her as a surgeon with the exact precision she performed with the resection of my father’s tumor; not to mention her amazing bedside manner and how she goes above and beyond. You can truly tell she cares for her patients and wants to do best by them. She has greatly surpassed every expectation as my father’s neurosurgeon.

Vestibular Schwannoma resection
I am a 31 year old female presenting with a large right base skull acoustic neuroma or vestibular schwannoma. I had my first resection in July with another neurosurgeon in a different state close by. When my post op scan after the first resection still showed a large acoustic neuroma, with many complications from the first surgery (unmanaged Hydrocephalus) I approached Dr. Wenya Linda Bi for a second opinion. She walked me through her best advice for another neurosurgery, did an amazing job, and had a great team and bedside manner.

Professional and Personable
Dr. Bi has a very soothing and comforting presence. Within five minutes of meeting her, I felt reassured about having to have a rather scary and difficult surgery. She was so professional and knowledgeable, but also so understanding of everything which I may have been feeling. She made sure that I was comfortable and informed every single step of the way, and was present both before and after the surgery. Even now, having moved to another city, I know that if I every had another problem, I would be able to contact her.

Wonderful and Caring Doctor
I went to Dr. Bi for a second opinion. I live in Massachusetts & was told by many that I absolutely should see a Boston doctor. Her name was suggested to me by a former nurse at Brigham & Women's who highly recommended Dr. Bi. I had been to a doctor in Worcester & was told I should have a craniotomy due to a potential brain tumor that was seen on an MRI. But after several MRI's with very little change I was very reluctant to undergo such major surgery. Dr. Bi was so very friendly and kind and explained the three MRI's we were looking at in detail. She gave me her thoughts and recommendation that we wait a bit and follow up with another MRI after the first of next year. I totally felt that was the right decision as I was feeling absolutely great & the brain lesion was found by accident when I had a severe vertigo attack & went to the hospital by ambulance where they did all kinds of testing. Visiting Dr. Bi was well worth the stress the Boston traffic created on the drive in.

Recommend Dr. Bi
Dr. Bi let us have a zoom visiting instead of needing to travel back to Boston. She had the MRI slides ready for us all to review, took her time explaining what we were looking at. Dr. Bi listened to our questions, concerns and answers them thoroughly for us. She made sure we understood what she was saying. She and her team have been very responsive to any questions or concerns we have had!

Excellent knowledge and bedside manner
Dr. Bi was fantastic. Not only did she make me feel very secure that I was getting the highest quality care using state of the art methods and facilities, she also took time to explain my condition. She put tremendous care into explaining the important medical and technical aspects of my condition at the same time that she did not overwhelm me with information that I could not appreciate or understand. She was also super empathetic and understanding of the stress that I was undergoing following my diagnoses.

Anyone who has the opportunity to work with Dr. Wenya Linda Bi should jump at the chance immediately! Not only is she an expert surgeon, but she is a world class researcher who glides easily between practice and research. You can be confident that her decisions are driven by the latest knowledge in the field, which she has most likely contributed to. On the day I arrived in the ER (on a Sunday no less), she visited me multiple times, and even gave a mini-lecture to my whole family on my issue, complete with visuals. This was most reassuring and gave us great confidence in her abilities. She also provided her phone contacts and responded to all of our follow-up questions. When the need emerged for a follow-up surgery, she was decisive and clearly demonstrated her leadership skills of the first class team she had assembled. All in all, I am doing well today thanks to Dr. Bi and I am thankful that I got the opportunity to have her as my doctor.

Dr. Bi is a very unbelievable neurosurgeon. She is very compassionate and was very thorough in her explanations. Dr. Bi and her assistant, Matt were very prompt at responding to telephone calls and/or emails. Our son was diagnosed with a Schwanoma Tumor and underwent a very long surgery on May 3, 2021. He has recovered extremely well and was able to return to work and his normal daily activities in early August. We cannot thank Dr. Bi and her team enough what they have done for our son.

Dr. Bi removed a large benign meningioma on the left side of my brain. Given the frightening diagnosis, I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. She made herself available to answer questions whenever needed, was kind, compassionate and extremely skilled and careful. Mine was a very long surgery and she assured me she would be present throughout the entire procedure. She explained everything very carefully and patiently answered all my questions. She has staffed her office with caring and competent people who are a pleasure to work with. In my recent follow up appointment, she reassured me that my surgery went as well as she had hoped it had and that everything looks great. I am so grateful to Dr. Bi and her staff for the exceptional care she provides.

I went into my consult with Dr. Bi extremely anxious, she spent 2 hours with me, explaining the surgery and recovery. I was able to ask as many questions as I had and she answered every one of them honestly. I left the consult feeling confident in my decision to have Dr. Bi and her team perform my craniotomy. My surgery was successful and I am now 4 months post op. I can not say enough about Dr. Bi and her team, the level of care I received through this entire process has been impeccable. Dr. Bi is not only a very skilled surgeon, she is also a compassionate person that cares about her patients.

I recently had a surgery with Dr. Bi and I am incredibly grateful she was my surgeon. Dr. Bi is everything you could ask for from a doctor. In addition to being incredibly skilled at what she does in the operating room, perhaps just as importantly, she is an incredibly good communicator outside of the operating room. I've had half a dozen surgeries in the past few years, and have struggled with surgeons being unclear, disempowering, and using too many sports metaphors to refer to what is a serious condition. Dr. Bi from the beginning was kind, clear, and compassionate in her communication. She presented the information in a way that I understood and gave me agency (and never once used a sports metaphor). She also coordinated incredibly well with my other doctors. Her assistant Matt is also an important part of this process - he was incredibly accessible and helpful in facilitating communication during the times Dr Bi was busy and helped provide wonderful care.

My husband was recently diagnosed with a metastatic brain tumor during the Covid pandemic. We immediately contacted our oncology surgeon at Brigham and Women's to guide us through this difficult diagnosis. We are forever grateful that he recommended Dr.Bi. She is truly amazing and kept us not only informed, but in close contact with my husband via FaceTime, throughout his entire stay at the hospital. Dr. Bi’s expertise, compassion, communication skills and genuine concern for her patients goes above and beyond. We cannot thank Dr.Bi enough for all she has done and for being the incredible neurosurgeon she is! We love her!!!!!!!!

We love Dr. Bi! She basically performed two craniotomies on my spouse and saved his life. She kept us fully informed all the way, and demonstrated caring for him and wanting him to get well as much as we did. She was there for us every step of the way, even post operatively following his care. Always ready to answer any questions or concerns. Our entire family is so grateful to Dr. Bi. She is definitely awesome and one the best doctors I have ever met. I was so glad she was in our corner.

Dr. Bi preformed my second craniotomy removing a brain tumor that had grown back. She was able to get 99.9% out! The area that my tumor was located is a very hard spot to be operating on, as I was told by all her colleagues. I was extremely fortunate to have her take care of me. She is amazing, very passionate about what she does. She is always available to chat 7 days a week, she wants you to be as comfortable as possible. Dr. Bi is very thorough and explains exactly what she is going to do. He

It was my great good fortune to have found Dr. Linda Bi to diagnose and perform surgery on a fast growing tumor in my brain, following careful consideration, finding the top specialist in the field for a second opinion. She was always professional, always cordial and encouraging, always insistent that the decision was mine, choosing what I wanted to do. Her medical colleagues define her as awesome; I do, too, and happy to acknowledge a successful surgery, performed with grace and skill.

My family and I wish we could give Dr. Bi 10 Stars. She saved my father’s life last summer along with the spectacular team at Brigham. Her kind demeanor and thoughtfulness in conjunction with her knowledge in neurosurgery makes for an unbeatable team. She is a constant guide through my father’s brain tumor struggle and always makes herself available to talk.
