Amazing
Dr. Riesenburger is personable, honest and an amazing surgeon. He performed a highly complex surgery on my nerve shealth tumor and I had zero post-op issues and am fully functional. Truly a gifted surgeon. Highly recommended.

Multi level acdf
The Dr and his team are excellent. He was my second opinion and ended up doing my surgery because his attention and compassion during assessment were exemplary. I had a problem with neck , 3 damaged discs . He explained surgery optiins and risks very well and we did 2 disks because of the increased risk of doing the third at the same time. And ended up in surgery about twice as long as planned because of increased damage. 1 uear later and neck is great. Thanks again for being excellent at your craft.

Everything I Was Looking For
Dr Riesenburger performed my lumbar fusion and decompression surgery in January 2023 - addressing a physical condition I had been struggling with increasingly in recent years. I found him to be focussed, compassionate, highly skilled, insightful, confident without being arrogant and extremely capable. The condition of my lumbar spine was very poor, especially given some less-than-stellar surgery I had received 18 years ago, and I had extreme sciatic pain which, by the time of my surgery, prevented me from sitting or walking. Dr Riesenburger did all that was possible to address the issues from the previous surgery, and those that had developed since. Now, 7 weeks post surgery, I have no sciatic pain and, while still experiencing a minor degree of stiffness around the surgical site, which I believe will abate with time, I am able to resume my life. Dr Riesenburger was the 4th surgeon I consulted, and was - and definitely remains - my surgeon of choice. A truly exceptional doctor.

Sciatica from disc/bone compression
Dr. Riesenburger has such an approachable and kind manner that you come away confident in his answers/recommended course. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. I came to Dr.R with persistent Sciatica pain for over 6 months and post surgery and doing better than could have hoped. The surgery team and staff were incredible at Tufts. Follow up was easy to schedule as well.

I was transferred to tufts and saw Dr. Reisenburger, I fell down my stairs in my house. I was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. My brain was too swelled to operate. Dr. Reisenburger took off the bone flap and froze it for further use. I was at tufts under Dr Reisenburger’s care for a time, then transferred to a rehab facility for traumatic brain injury rehab. I went back to dr Reisenburger after covid calmed down a bit. I had my bone flap put back in, had a couple of other side effects, couple more surgeries and head is healing fine. Dr. Reisenburger was very explainatory about my head injury, spent a lot of time discussing the procedure with my husband and myself. I would recommend him, and the staff. most definitely. He is very knowledgeable and really takes the time to make sure you understand the risks and takes his time to answer your questions and alleviate your fears. He really is an excellent doctor! I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Riesenburger operated on my spine and everything went as planned. The disc that was pressing on my spinal cord was removed and my nerve issues were either lessened or gone. I was fully back to all activities within a few months. I cannot praise his work enough.

Marvelous ! I was suffering from severe pain in my left leg so I tried P.T. and Cortisone but the got worse. Dr.Riesenburger operated on my back in late February and I have not had any pain since the operation. The doctor explained the diagnosis in laymen's terms and was very compassionate about my situation. The surgery solved the problem and my follow-up appt.was very meaningful. I would recommend him to anyone who is needing similar help. He is a great surgeon and fine human.

Dr. Riesenburger performed an L4-L5 Laminectomy & synovial cyst resection for me in late April. At my follow up visit I was still quite uncomfortable. Dr. Risenburger (as well as my physical therapist) advised that a 4 - 6 month period for the impacted nerves to relax was likely. I am here to report that after 5 months I am 100% and Dr. Riesenburger is marvelous, marvelous marvelous!! (As was the staff at Tufts) Many thanks to all that cared for me.

Maybe he is a good doctor from a technical perspective, but you also want a doctor with scruples. He may operate on you one day, and then be paid by an insurance company to say that your injury was not caused by the accident. It may even be the insurance company of the entity you are suing for causing the accident. These are things people don't think about when choosing a doctor. You cannot trust this doctor. Morally bankrupt.

We have only rave reviews for Dr. Riesenburger. Our daughter was thrown from her horse & broke her L2 which required spinal fusion surgery. We were so fortunate that she was transported to Tufts and to be in the experienced hands of Dr. Riesenburger. He was direct, explicit and explained every detail of the surgery. He answered every question with care. We knew we had the right surgeon immediately & are fortunate that she should make a full recovery. We are forever grateful for his expertise.

I had gone to a "renowned neuro surgeon at the N.E Baptist Hospital" who performed a proceedure on me that was not appropriate and failed. I had suffered pain that could not be controlled. I was referred to Dr, Riesenburger from a fellow MD that saved me from a life time of pain, suffering and the inability to walk more than 500 feet. I cannot tell you enough good things about the professionalism, compassion and skill set I received. I know walk about 3 miles a day and my pain is gone.
