I had a R Menisectomy March of 2019 by Dr. Wayne Mortensen. I desired a repair but he did a removal of medial meniscus instead. It has always had problems of stiffness, not able to straighten it out all the way and cracking sounds. Dealing with this for 5 1/2 years now it has gotten worse and I’m back to how it felt when I tore my meniscus in the first place. So, a total knee replacement will be the next. I understand I probably could of been counseled about a meniscus transplant or a partial knee replacement, but that was never brought up!

Dr. Mortensen was obviously in a hurry and didn't take time to listen. He made my injury seem insignificant when it was actually very painful, and did not give needed information about length and nature of recovery.

Well trained, but not a very good listener. Needed additional surgery after, which could have been done sooner and saved a lot of trouble if Dr. Mortensen had listened.

Dr. Mortensen was kind, thorough, understanding, knowledgeable, and capable of doing my difficult torn rotator cuff. It is obvious he's had much experience and I would wholeheartedly recommend him.
