I have had two very successful lumbar spine operations from Dr. Mohan. I recommended him to others and two of those people had surges from him, one lumbar and one cervical spine surgery’s. Both people were very happy with Dr. Mohan and their results. I had one previous surgery to the two I had with Dr. Mohan and it wasn’t successful and was totally miss diagnosed about a corrective procedure. I would recommend Dr. Mohan to anyone with confidence

Dr. Mohan and his staff are the best. Compassionate, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I had ACDF C3 to C5. I was very nervous about the surgery but he put my mind at ease. Virtually no pain after surgery. Spent one night in the hospital due to vomiting but other than that the procedure was uneventful. I am now almost 2 weeks post op. No pain. The hardest part is not being able to get back to normal activities as everything needs to heal and that takes time. Patience is the hardest part of the recovery for me.

Dr Mohan is the best. He has done three surgeries on my back for different diagnoses. I’m diabetic and he took precautions for safety of my health. I followed his practice to Hoffman Estates. I recently was diagnosed with Transverse Mylites. Even though I was under care by a neurologist Dr. Mohan was checking in on me all 10 days I was in hospital till I was diagnosed. He came to hospital and stayed with me while I had a 3 1/2 hour contrast MRI. I can not say enough about my good Dr. Mohan. Very caring. Listens well to you as you are conversing about your pain. Dr Mohan is the most incredible physician I have ever met. He actually cares about his patients. He listens to everything you say and answers all your questions. He tells you how you will feel post op and for how long and honestly it was correct. He makes sure your pain management is controlled and will not only come to the hospital several times a day but calls the nurses for updates. He follows how you are moving in physical therapy and occupational therapy. I have NEVER met a more caring doctor in my life. This is how a doctor should be. He is exceptional!

I had a recent cervical surgery on Sept 6, 2019. Dr Mohan was truly amazing. His entire staff is caring and compassionate. Every time I call them, they know who I am and help me immediately. Their follow up is first rate. I believe that Dr. Vivek Mohan is responsible for the first rate care his office gives and he is one of the most competent and confident surgeons I have ever met. We discussed the difficulties posed by my situation and the surgery was successful. There is still a long road ahead of me but with Dr Mohan as a partner in my recovery I feel a confidence that I haven't felt for two years. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Mohan to anyone who is looking for back care!

I underwent spinal fusion surgery by Dr. Vivek Mohan in February 2016. Immediately following surgery, (within 3 days), I began to experience intense pain in my legs and feet. I was put on Tramadol and am still on Tramadol today, 3 1/2 years and counting of opioids. What was dismissed by Dr. Mohan as not being neuropathy but nerves not waking up yet turned out to be both small and large fiber peripheral neuropathy. When I tried to file a complaint with DMG they told me that my case was outside of the statute of limitations. So, Dr. Mohan insisted that I did not have neuropathy, and by the time I no longer believed him it was too late for me. It's also interesting to note that Dr. Mohan mysteriously left DMG during this process. DMG also claims that Dr. Mohan warned me that I could have this chronic condition as a result of the surgery. If I would have been warned of this I never would have had this surgery, the neuropathy pain far exceeds what back pain I had. Not recommended!

Initially we really trusted him. However after my husbands spinal surgery he IGNORED the very serious neurological symptoms my husband was having. 17 months later, my husband is disabled. ALL his limbs are dead! He told him to “be patient “. It left us fighting to get help as disease progressed! Then he up and left the practice WITHOUT telling us/anyone where he was going. He also wrote (unbeknownst to us) that my husband had an opiate addiction. COMPLETELY NOT TRUE! That effected him getting the right help. If Dr Mohan had LISTENED, and helped direct us, we wouldn’t have fended for ourselves through 52 doctors trying to figure out what was happening.

Excellent! I had severe leg pain caused by a ruptured disc L5-S1. Dr. Mohan was caring and very direct to the point (in a good way). The surgery went perfect. A few hours after the surgery they had me walk the halls and I could tell I had immediate relief. The small incision was healed by the time bandage was removed 10 days later. Dr. Mohan always was patient with me while I asked dozens of questions. I am extremely please that I chose Dr. Mohan.

He's outstanding, very good bedside manner. I used to be in constant pain, now I am pain free with full range of motion. He is outstanding.

Excellent surgeon ????

I had been battling lower back and leg pains for over a year. I needed a L4-L5 and L5-S1 Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion. Dr. Mohan has been blessed with gifted hands! Aside from minor pain around the incision site I felt like a new person after surgery and was walking the hospital halls in less than 24 hrs! Dr. Mohan's tremendous surgical skills are complimented by his compassion for his patients. I cannot overemphasize the level of trust, appreciation and respect I have for Dr. Mohan.

I could not be happier with his care. By far the best doctor I have ever seen. And his assistant PA Hagen is abosolutly amazing! I definitely recommend for someone with back/spine issues

On June 22, 2016, I had a 4th surgery on my left hip, the original THR and subsequent 3 revisions.This was a very difficult surgery, in fact the doctor told me, the most difficult one that he had performed in a very long time. I had met my doctor for the first time on June 9, 2016. I, as well as my wife were very nervous about this surgery. The doctor told me not to worry, " leave the worrying to me." He told my wife the same. The surgery went great! We feel the doctor was a true GOD SEND !!!

He is a nice and friendly Doctor. My family and I so happy to have him as my doctor. Thank you very much!!!
