He is thorough, professional, and kind. It was apparent he had studied my chart before entering the exam room, as he reviewed my diagnosis, previous procedures and test results, and recommendations without consulting notes in my presence, and without flaw. Well known for his expertise and knowledge.

“Doctor” Garlapati is a sorry excuse for a gastrointestinal specialist. He did a colonoscopy/endoscopy on me in February and told me that I have ibs. He (in his expert opinion) told me that ibs does not hurt and that I should just be a man about it. He kept pushing meds that not only didn’t work, but had horrible side effects as well. That was 15 emergency room visits ago, including several trips to out of town doctors and I STILL am in excruciating pain. PLEASE don’t place your life in the hands of this man!

This doctor doesn't listen to his patients. He isn't interested in a patient's overall well-being, and is unconcerned with anything out of the ordinary. He knowingly chose to do a procedure that he did not have the correct equipment to perform and did not take into account the medications being taken that would cause the procedure to fail. We went to another city for a consult and got the problem fixed correctly. This doctor's original diagnosis was wrong. I do not recommend Dr. Garlapati.

Dr. Garlapati is a courteous gastroenterologist who is knowledgeable on progressive gastrointestinal treatments for disorders such as IBS, GERD, and IBD. However, I have had some confusing bowel issues, which I often feel are overlooked.
