Dr. Cari Sorrell, MD

Dr Sorrell treated my daughter for 2 years w/no improvement of her symptoms. She ignored a previous mrcp which indicated an abnormal response to ChiRhoStim. After she focused on gastritis she never looked again at the chronic pancreatitis. My daughter never went back after a visit when she was in so much pain and started crying and Sorrell said “I don’t know what you want me to do. “ very condescending. We self referred to Baylor Scott&White, dr did one endoscopic ultrasound and looked at labs and said daughter needed a transplant. Had pancreas, spleen and duodenum removed and auto islet transplant bc pancreatitis was never treated and pancreas and spleen were too scarred to save. Eleven hour surgery and now diabetes at age 25. Sorrel kept focusing on gastritis/ esophageal spasms. She acted like it was anxiety and irritable bowel. Needless suffering bc she never listened to back pain, vomiting, nausea or considered abnormalities in pancreas. She failed my daughter.

She is the absolute best doctor that it has been my privilege to be a patient of. Very professional and also cares about her patients well being. She explains everything in a way that is easy to understand and addresses any concerns that you may have.

Awesome, few times can you say that at doctors office. She makes you feel at ease to discuss anything bothering you and equally listens to family’s concerns.

Dr Sorrell takes time to listen and respond to concerns. She discusses options for care and always responds to priblems within a short time. She has really professional, caring staff.
