Awful and Judgmental!
Comes off as a nice guy but really is judgmental - Doesn't listen to the patients as if he already made up his mind on treatment 'before' the appointment.

Terrible
I wish a 0 star was a thing. I was referred to him by my doctor after a fractured tendon in my wrist (dominant hand) that caused a ganglion cyst to form. I was always in the waiting room for hour+ and he was with me for 5 minutes each appointment. Didn’t listen to a thing I said. An incision that should have been 1in, ended up being almost 3in!! And it wasn’t even over the cyst! No physical therapy nothing. At my post op I realized the cyst was still there. He and his wife told me it was my bone (on the TOP of my wrist). Went back again, said they’d give me PT and never heard a word back. I lost over half my mobility in it and have no feeling completely up to my knuckles. Can only hold a pencil for about 15 minutes. Still have shooting pain up my arm from the damage he did. My wrist hurts worse than it did before the surgery. I went to physical therapy through my doctor, and it did nothing! Ruined my wrist at 19. I would not ever recommend to anyone. How can a doctor even defend that?

I had no feeling in my hands except pain, and extreme shooting pain in my shoulders from dry chain repetition work at boise cascade lumber. Dr’s said nothing could be done and I was written off by boise cascades dr’s. But Dr Nanavati proved them wrong and I’ve made a 90% recovery at least. He also has awesome bed side manner to make it a comfortable process to have both hands, elbows and shoulders fixed! Don’t let a few people that are negative about everything detour you from him

Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair
I have been very pleased with the level of care I’ve received from Dr Nanavati, Heidi Nanavati and his entire staff. I’ve had both rotator cuffs repaired, one last year, and the latest in January 2022. Everything about the surgery was explained to me so I knew exactly what to expect before, during and after the procedure. My follow up appointments have always been on time, all my questions answered and I never felt rushed. I would highly recommend Dr Nanavati to anyone needing shoulder surgery.

Several years ago I had 2 torn tendons in my left hand which was caused by then going back and forth over rheumatoid growths in the wrist. He did an excellent job on the surgery and have never had any further problems with the hand. Very skillful closure of the wound. The incision closure is very fine and barely noticeable.

We are extremely pleased with our previous experiences with Mercy Orthopedics. A friend had a very successful outcome from shoulder surgery performed by Dr. Nanavati and recommended him for our shoulder problems. My wife and I saw him for our shoulders and wrists. We found him highly competent, listened very well, explained everything in layman terms and successfully treated us. We like that he does not rush to operate or just give shots.

Waited about an hour and a half after appointment time. No apology or consideration even when brought up wait. Doctor spoke to me like I was a toddler. Wanted to perform surgery when it was not required (injury has since healed on its own). One would think the doctor and staff were the ones with painful injuries instead of patients by their attitudes and lack of consideration. If you do see this doctor, be prepared to wait and please get a second opinion if surgery is recommended.

I gave him 1 star because he may be a good surgeon but his patient care is very unprofessional. He writes reports that personally attacks his patients if you disagree with him. He does not read your therapy reports before visiting with you. I was released from his care about a little over 4 months with chronic right shoulder pain and weakness. Please for your sake choose another surgeon because there are a lot of good professional surgeons out there.

Dr. Nanavati and his staff are wonderful. I had carpal tunnel surgery in my right hand in 2015 and did well. I just had my much needed left hand done this past Friday and the Doctor was so kind and very reassuring. He replaced my 78 year old father's shoulder 3 years ago and he did great. You are in very kind capable hands with Dr. Nanavati and Mercy Hospital!!!

WARNING: If you see this dr (or any dr located at Mercy hospital), and he does any type of procedure, you will basically be charged twice (once by the dr, and again by the hospital). I waited almost 2 hours in the waiting room, and saw the dr. for less than 15 mins. At that time, he aspirated a cyst in my finger Less than 1 month later, the cyst is already coming back and I am out over $500 out of pocket (I was charged twice for an "operating room", x-rays, a surgical procedure, etc.)...

My Son went to Dr Nanavati because of a High School Football injury. He had surgery by Dr Nanavati followed by intense Physical Therapy for several months. He returned to football the following season and was 100% back to his pre injury status as Dr Nanavati stated he would be. He had an awesome season and was published as one of the TOP TACKLERS in the state of PA by a College Sports Magazine. He is pursuing a career as an Army Ranger thanks to the OUTSTANDING SURGICAL PERCISION & CARE THANKYOU
