Horrible Surgeon!
This surgeon is not recommended. He is unkind and has poor skills. I was left in worse condition under his negligible care.

Great doctor
In my first visit with Dr. Williams, prior to surgery, I was impressed with the exam and the questions he asked me. I told him right then I wanted him to do the surgery. A few weeks after surgery, I was going to outpatient rehab. I had been the day before and knee was “tight”. He thought bend was 70 degrees. I knew it was more than 90. He didn’t dismiss my thought. He tried to call the physical therapist while I was there but couldn’t reach him. At last visit he was satisfied with my progress and said I could stop therapy but to continue t exercising, which I am doing. Overall, I am glad I chose Dr. Williams. It is important to do the exercises before and after surgery.

Too Painful To write anymore
The outcome of my surgery was unexpectedly unsuccessful. My condition was made worst by surgery, when all was expected to produce a successful outcome. I am much more limited now than prior to surgery. I had hoped some would improve over time, but conditions have only gotten worst. It is too painful emotionally to write any more.

Highly Recommend
I had both hips replaced 3 months apart and Dr. Williams was great. He is very knowledgeable and explained everything to me clearly and always with my care and best outcome in mind. He and his whole team made me feel reassured and put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Williams and UConn Health.

I chose Uconn Health because I felt it would offer me the best care. I turned down reputable surgeons outside of Uconn Health because I felt Uconn would have the best. Unfortunately, my surgery left me with outcomes much worse than before surgery. I will need to see other physicians outside of Uconn Health and Vincent J. Williams, if anything at all can at all be salvaged. I am devastated.

Suffering Patient
I am worst off than prior to my surgery. I was guided to expect a satisfactory outcome and trusted this guidance. Instead, I now have a outcome and conditions that because of surgery, leave me very dissatisfied and seeking a alternative venue to help correct what has happened if at all possible.

Suffering Patient
The number of now chronic conditions and complications after surgery, and from this surgeons decisions during surgery, is truly unbelievable, fatal, and tragic. Not only do I suffer for the rest of my life, but those whom I love also suffer. That simple.

TFT Review
The whole process was conducted very efficiently and professionally. But there was also a caring side with all the staff being very friendly and helpful. Of course, the operation was a complete success. There is a related problem with the knee of the other leg, which was relied on heavily before the operation. This is being treated by PT and cortisone shots.

I saw Dr Williams to remove a large ganglion cyst from my knee. I found him engaging and helpful. Since he knew that the procedure would not take much time in the OR, he helped me out by fitting me into his schedule very shortly after our first meeting (approximately 3 weeks). Surgery went flawlessly. I found all of the staff I met with at the UCONN orthopedics department very friendly and professional.
