Treats your 'numbers' not your symptoms
I saw Dr Rein for several years after pituitary radiation. She was nice and seemed sympathetic. For 3 years I would literally cry telling her my symptoms and how terrible I felt. One day after labs but before a visit I got an urgent call from her nurse to pick up a steroid at the pharmacy or 'you might die'. The med was like a miracle, my terrible symptoms practically went away. At the visit I asked why I had to suffer for 3 years before getting the medication. She said, because my lab numbers didn't match my symptoms until now. Next, I began having symptoms of another low pituitary hormone but was again was told my lab numbers said I was fine. I switched to a different clinic and endocrinologist and was treated for the deficiency immediately. Dr Rein never learned to treat the patient, not the numbers.

I have seen Dr. Rein two times as part of a comprehensive team for a pituitary tumor I had removed. Both visits Dr. Rein spent a lot of time with me. Before the surgery she clearly explained risks regarding endocrinology aspects of the surgery. After the surgery, she once again spent time with me to explain test results and what would be next steps. She asked a lot of detail questions and listened to my responses to make sure she understood my medical history. In addition to this, she is a knowledgeable doctor but is very skilled at putting complex medical terms into laymen's terms. I feel blessed that Dr. Rein was an integral part of my pituitary team.

Dr. is nice enough, however, the clinic staff are terrible. They have called in an incorrect script 3x and have refused to correct the mistake. Of course they promised to fix the problem, but 'somehow' it keeps happening. Basic math skills are apparently not a pre-requisite for the job. Deserves '0' stars.

even though I had been referred by my PCP, this doctor had her assistant do most of the work, when the doctor finally can in, she spent literally 3 minutes with me, scheduled a follow up in 6 months, then the next day canceled the follow up appointment. She does not seem to be a caring doctor at all. Would recommend seeing someone.
