Dr. Ukeme Umana, MD

I had cataracts removed, and in one eye Dr. Umana told me I had to have a toric lens implanted to correct an astigmatism, so that I would only need reader glasses. Now I am so nearsighted I can't see past the screens on the windows. I can see up close very clearly. Not the least bit foggy, but he wants to laser my eye capsules to clear my vision. He ruined my vision.

7/29 Had SLT laser surgery ,was in a lot of pain afterwards,told Umana,said to go home lay down,severe reaction,saw another dr. Optometrist Bach......,said I has uveitis,prescribed eye drops,had reaction and got worse,went back every 2 days,pressure increased drastically,severe headaches over 2 weeks,fever,saw Umana a week ago ,said i was fine,pressures had increased??? 8/16 saw Umana with same syptoms,he actually yelled at me that he was the dr.,does thousands of surgeries,said I didn't have reaction to medicine,pharmacist didn't know what they were talking about,said other dr.optomitrist didn't say I was diagnosed with uveitis,totally dismissed all my symptoms,am in pain,horrible headaches,light sensitivity,fever,watering.I have never been treated so unprofessional in my life,you would think they would be concerned about my well being,instead of gossip repeating everything I said and trying to discredit me. A complaint will be filed.He walked up to the desk,before I did to check out

I recently has LASIK performed by Dr. Umana and I am extremely happy with my procedure and Dr. Umana. His bedside manner is wonderful, he is very friendly and personable. There was a slight issue when they were cutting my cornea with the laser however because of Dr. Umana's experience and expertise he was able to correct the problem by hand and continue with the procedure. My vision is now perfect and I couldn't be happier with Dr. Umana!

Friendly enough but patients are herded in and out like cattle, not pleased with my Lasik surgery as my eyesight is worse now than before. Will look for another provider for my other eye.

Worked on eye lids. One eye lid open very wide. One eye can hardly open. Very poor workmanship. Do not recommend.
