Dr. Tracey Wilson, MD

Tracey Wilson was very dismissive of my concerns, and rushed through my appointment. I left feeling like I completely wasted my time and as if my concerns were unimportant. I felt humiliated and stupid. It took hours for me to mentally put together the events that happened and how I was treated. Despite explaining my pain and symptoms, she seemed uninterested and continued to tell me that she couldn’t help me because I didn’t have the medical records from my previous urologist. I would strongly advise against seeking treatment from this doctor. If you want to be treated with dignity and respect, DO NOT GO HERE!

For years I have suffered from an issue that multiple doctors failed to diagnose. At my initial consult with Dr Wilson, she listened attentively, studied old scans and records and was able to correctly diagnose my complex medical issues! She scheduled me for surgery as soon as possible in order to give me relief from my painful problem. Dr Wilson performed a very difficult surgery that only a very select group of urologists have the skills to perform! The quality of my life has been immensely improved as a result of Dr Wilson’s urological expertise and surgical skills.

I have never felt more ignored by a doctor in my life. Her bedside manner is lacking almost non-existent. She is rude and talks down to you. I have had urologist my entire life and have never felt unheard by any of them. She needs to learn compassion for her patients. She can tell you any procedure you have had done like a book. But that isn't what people want. When you are sick and have delt with chronic bladder and kidney issues your entire life you want someone who will listen and be compassionate about your situation. She needs to learn how to talk to her patients and not talk down to them. She will literally make you feel stupid. Just because you have an education doesn't mean you are better than any other doctors. She needs a reality check. If it didn't make me give a star I sure wouldn't have. She doesn't deserve any

Provider would ask questions and then cut off the discussion in the middle of the response. Did not seem to want to be bothered. Somewhat condescending in interactions/discussion.

I have a condition that is difficult to treat and as a result have seen a lot of doctors. Dr. Wilson was one of the least effective and least empathetic practitioners I’ve seen. Hostile, unwilling, and ultimately a waste of time.

We see Dr. Wilson through the Spina Bifida clinic at UAB and find her very knowledgeable, but had some issues with her bedside manner, she talks through her intern or nurse and does not talk to the patient or the caregiver while in the room with the patient and caregiver She will say to the nurse or intern ask them this. We have now caught her in multiple lies, and one of them was very disconcerting because we felt she was discriminating because of a disability.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a physician. I would not recommend her to anyone. She was rude and has a lazy work ethic. Tried to follow up with her and was dismissed.

The wait time was outrageous. She was very condescending and demeaning.

Dr Wilson was recommended to me by my primary care physician Dr James Whatley at UAB. I requested a female urologist to dx the cause of a presenting symptom: blood in my urine. Following tests and a cystoscope (which was painless though I dreaded it) she scheduled a bladder biopsy. Dr Wilson was calm, competent and ever courteous. Happily she informed me in a matter of days regarding the pathology report. I will continue to see her for follow up. Marjorie Johnston

I saw Dr Wilson today. I found her to be a highly qualified Doctor. She knows her stuff! She understood my issue and was able to give me lots of options and suggestions. She gave me the information and helped me make choices about my future care. She didn't try to push me into any particular direction. She simply gave me all the ins and outs and I was able to choose what may work with my lifestyle and family. This meant so much to me! I highly recommend a knowledgable Doctor like her!
