Dr. Tom Macek, MD

First off. It is very difficult to get into the front door. To do so you have to call the office from an intercom but when you call the office you get a recording that says this number is only for texts so you're standing there at the front door, feeling helpless. after five more tries.and 10 minutes later I finally get a voice on the intercom that is intelligible.I haven't even seen the doctor yet and this is the most aggravating experience I've had at any doctor ever ever and the front desk. People are horrible.My first visit to the doctor. I was told the doctor wasn't in and I was able to see the assistant nurse who basically just rescheduled me for another appointment, wasting my time but charging my insurance do yourself a favor and save your aggravation and go to any other doctor. This is no way to run a practice.Run!!!!

I have been seeing Dr Macek for several years now. I can honestly say I’ve never met another doctor like Dr Macek. He does not throw pain medicines at you. He is a wonderful listener and takes as long as needed to discuss your health issues and treatment plans. He treats you with respect and dignity! Ive had other Drs just want to hand out pain meds without looking for solutions. Dr Macek and his entire staff are beyond awesome. I am treated like one of the family. I will never look for another pain management doctor as I know Dr Macek is the best in the world. He has performed medical treatments on me and his skill is obvious. I have been able to cut down on pain medications. In his practice, Dr Erica is wonderful too. I see her often. She takes such care and concern with my medical problems. Maribel in his office is the best doctor assistant I have ever run across. The rest of the staff seem to love their jobs and the patients who come there. I highly recommend his team!

Dr. MacEk was very nice and I was treated with an in-office procedure. When I got home I was not feeling well, so I called the office and got a voicemail and left several messages without any return calls. I called again this morning at 9:30 and got a voicemail left a message and once again no return call. How can a patient have confidence in a doctor when you cannot talk their office staff and won't respond to your calls. I'm still not feeling well and still haven't received a return call. I'm not going back there again.

Dr.Macek is an AMAZING doctor and truly cares about his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs a pain management physician! He is very knowledgeable and could not thank him enough for his services!

Been to five pain doctors previously he is by far the best the most thoroug,And expose the most confidence.

I'm not sure what I would have done had Dr. Macek not been referred to me for chronic pain. Not only is he kind and compassionate, he is a true "scientist" and looking at the "whole" person when recommending therapies. I trust him implicitly and would not dare go to anyone else. Marybel, his assistant, and the rest of the APEX crew are also exceptional.

Dr Macek is a kind, caring, intelligent and wonderful pain management physician. He is a great listener and has a great sense of humor. I have been seeing him for 4 years. He had helped me so much that I haven't had to see him for the last 1.5 years! He is professional and always so caring and understanding. The procedures he's done on me are always done with the utmost of care and he makes sure I'm comfortable. I had moved from Massachusetts and was so concerned that I wouldn't be able to find

Dr Macek is an amazing Dr, he guided and helped me through pain management and a 4 level cervical artificial disc replecement I had in Germany. While other doctors were opposing and scaring me away from going to another country to get an advanced procedure done that NO doctors can offer in the States ( I went to the best surgeon in the world with amazing results Professor Dr Rudolf Bertagnoli in Germany), Dr Macek was my main support and encouragement to move forward. He is an exceptional Dr!!

Very knowledgeable and care about his patients. Had horrible back pain for years and Dr. Macek has been able to treat it and make of me a normal person again. He has the dedication and listen to the patients.

My husband has been in terrible pain in his neck due to herniated discs & was praying Dr. Macek would help us. The sec'y assured me that they did accept our insurance and proceeded to make our first appointment. One day before our appointment they cancelled, stating they did Not accept our insurance and that I Must have misstated the type of insurance we have. THEY SCREWED UP and left us hanging. Bad for new clients - would never recommend them. Cruel, cold, callous.
