Dr. Tolvert Fowler Junior, MD

I've been using Dr. Fowler for 2 years. I didn't have many issues up to about 8 months ago. He has been wonderful helping me navigate through all the specialists I need to see. I never have trouble seeing him. I usually can get a telemedicine appointment the same day or the next day and if I need to go in to see him I never have a problem either. I find that he listens to what I have to say and answers my questions without rushing me. My husband goes to him to and we are both happy with him as our primary care physician.

Was a patient for 2years. Seen for chronic back issues. Had a bad flareup on the 18th & asked for an rx of pred because I could not physically get to the office. Was told nope.. had to come in person. I asked for a telemed appt, they said 'Sure' but not until the next Thursday a week later. I was an established patient, during business hours, calling for a chronic (emerg.) prob, & they refused to give me a 5 minute teledoc appt. Eventually they called in an rx for me... but it was for the wrong med. Then I was told I was dismissed from the practice for being rude and non compliant. I was literally crying when I 1st called, having a hard time speaking due to pain, but I never yelled, cursed, raised my voice or took a mean tone... not remotely. Maybe I annoyed the receptionist, but being direct and rude are 2 different things. I did cancel a recheck appt on the 12th because the referral appt it was supposed to be after was not till the 15th. They didn't care one bit that I needed help.

Very upfront and personal explains things to me in a way I can understand. The staph is great and help me get the appointment I need.

I wanted to find a GP as I'm new in the area and had sumac, I believe on my right arm and have had high blood pressure for many years - the closer I get to a hospital or a doctor my pressures go off the wall. This doctor had two people take my pressures, he came in saw what they were and said "you need to go to the hospital or I'll call you an ambulance" wouldn't listen to what I know as my history and refused to diagnose if in fact I had sumac. What doctor does that? I thought doctors were to run to the problem not dismiss a patient and run away. I guess I won't be using this physician as my new GP ... I will seek a doctor that actually cares. Horrible - tackless man - with "zero" chair side manner..... Oh and by the way Dr. Fowler my blood pressure went right down to 160 over 140 once I was away from your office - you wouldn't even listen to me... shame on you - Sheila Plew
