Dr. Straub did a total hip replacement and gave me my life back. I was in excruciating pain- dreading doing even the most simple tasks. Dr. Straub did the procedure at Slocum and I was up and walking an hour after surgery. I was back home that evening and recuperating with a family member’s help. I was back at work in two weeks! (Not the recommended amount of time but my job is not physically demanding). I’m so looking forward to doing things the things I’ve missed this summer.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Straub since the 80's, had a ACL and a rotator cuff fixed over that period. My parents have both had both knees replaced by him, also my mother was the Physical Therapy director at the local hospital for 30 years. So to say my family and myself are authorities on Dr. Straub's practice of customer/patient capacities is a radical understatement. Dr. Straub is the guy you want if you are in the know. He is the man of talent and capacity we all strive to be. Ask for him.

I went with my boyfriend to see Dr. Straub about his injured knee. He tore his ACL, MCL and his miniscus under the knee cap. Straub has an excellent bedside manner. He made us feel like we mattered. He was thorough with his exam and answered all of our questions in terms that we could understand. He is NOT a, cut em up surgeon, which was a tremendous relief to my boyfriend, as he is truly afraid of having to have a surgery done. Dr. Straub and the ENTIRE staff at SLOCUM get an A++ from us.
