Dr. Dan Sewell is an exceptional surgeon, and the staff at Hope Orthopedic were helpful. Dr. Sewell is very caring and he explained everything about my knee replacement so that I could understand. He told me all my options and helped me with everything. He was amazing and also wanted to mention Brenda (NP) who also walked me through the process. I also wanted to mention that Dr. Sewell took the time to write a letter to my disability insurance to allow an additional two weeks off. I would recommend Dr. Sewell to anyone seeking a kind, compassionate and a brilliant surgeon.

Dr. Dan Sewell is one of, if not, the best surgeons around. I had two total knee replacements in one year with complete success and no more pain. My second surgery was robotic assisted which led to a quicker recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Dan Sewell and the Hope Orthopedics team for any of your joint care needs.

Dr. Sewell is the BEST! Not only is he professional, informative, understanding, knowledgeable, but he's also very thorough. I didn't feel rushed. I had my lt. hip done 11 yrs ago from a different dr. There's NO COMPARISON. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs any type of ortho surgery. Also, his follow-up is great. He wants to make sure I'm progressing & healing well.

Dr. Sewell is awesome! He is easy to talk with and very understanding. I did both of my knee surgeries with him at the scalpel... pardon the pun... and am so very pleased. He and his team give you the information you need to be successful prior to surgery. Do what is expected of you and you won't be disappointed. This is the best thing I have done for myself. My quality of life has improved beyond any expectations. I can walk with family and friends without pain. I played at a park with my great grand babies until we were all exhausted! Without Dr Sewell and his wonderful staff, none of this would be possible. Caring and knowledgeable!!!! Thankyou for my better life!!

Dr. Dan has my highest recommendation-he is very professional and knowledgeable, able to explain any questions that my family and I had. I have had 2 knee replacements by Dr. Dan, and with the experiences given to me by himself and his staff, I feel like I belong to a second family.

I recently had my right hip replaced at the Hope Clinic. Dr. Sewell and his team were fantastic. From the pre-surgery meetings to the post operation recovery, I felt that I knew what to expect every step of the way. Dr. Sewell did a great job in explaining the procedure in a way that I could understand and I always had the feeling that he and the clinic were there for support at any time. The results were nothing short of amazing. After 4 months, I have resumed my active life doing many of the things that I have not been able to do for years. I would highly recommend Dr. Sewell and the Hope Clinic!

Dr. Sewell was very friendly and a good listener. He answered all my questions, some times more than once. His explanations and visual presentation were excellent. I left his office knowing exactly what he planned to do! I would highly recommend him to anyone for treatment! Another plus is that Hope Orthopedics is a very efficient operation. I hardly had to wait at any step of the way!

I've been seeing Dr. Sewell since the late 90's and he has performed surgeries and follow-up on my left hip replacement(2004); trigger thumb surgery (2005), two left rotator cuff surgeries(2008)second one after a local PT place(not HOPE)pulled my shoulder out of the socket during therapy; right knee replacement (2011). Great attention to details, follow up at their location or hospital and especially Kay and associates at HOPE Therapy in Keizer. Superb! I miss Patrick Thies(to England)

I had a torn ACL and meniscus. Didn't do ACL's. Had arthroscopic meniscus repair surgery August 23. DARK bruise up to groin. I complained the outside of my calf had intermittent pain. Again,no problem. Final check out, released October 3. Did pre-surgery exercise. On October 18 knee popped, meniscus again. Told RICE, no need to be seen. Leg angel 8 degrees off Now Nov 27,intense hip pain, can't bear weight. 6 days before a call back. Want me to go away, I will. Next. Run from Dr. Sewell

I got into see Dr. Sewell after being released from the ER here in Salem. I was literally on the verge of death when I got in to see him. He looked at the X-rays from the ER and immediately told me I had a very serious infection, something none of the ER doctors had spotted. He immediately sent me to an Infectuous disease doctor who admitted me to the hospital. Had I not been diagnosed by Dr. Sewell, I most likely wouldn’t have survived the infection per the disease doctors who tended to me!

Facing my first knee surgery in my late 60's was a bit daunting, but Dr Sewell and his staff made me feel like "family" He used language I could easily understand and paid total attention to me during my visits. He carefully and slowly went over the medications and I left confident knowing I could handle this in a relaxed way, which came to fruition. There is not enough room here to express my thanks!

Dr Sewell was able to see me relatively quickly (2 weeks) post-referral. There was no waiting time at his office. He took his time listening to my concerns & history, explaining the MRI results while showing section by section of the image to illustrate the problem. Much appreciated his thorough explanation. Was able to perform aspiration of excess fluid in my knee-capsule, inject cortisone into the joint, order PT, & be fitted with a brace, & a follow-up appt scheduled. All in<1 hr!

All;s I can say are the most positive comments for Dr. Sewell and his entire staff. I recently had right shoulder rotator cuff repair. As I entered this process I was quite nervous about the pain associated with the surgery and recovery. Now, six weeks post surgery I can report that the pain level throughout frme has been zero. I credit this primarily to the cooling unit Dr. Sewell suggested we purchase to keep the shouldder iced during the heaiing stages. It was all good. Great Job to All
