Dr. Thomas St John, MD

I have seen other doctors at mid Jersey Orthopedics which is weird Dr. St. John is affiliated. Every doctor I’ve seen or my family has seen here has made you feel heard and cared about. Both times I met with Dr. St. John I felt dismissed. Each visit I waited at least 45 minutes for him and spent a total of 90 seconds each time. The first visit I was asking a question and he got up and put his hand on the door knob. I felt like he was just anxious to leave and wasn’t taking my pain or concerns seriously. I was trying to explain what led up to what was going on with me and I just didn’t feel heard. I felt like despite the fact that I waited so long to see him he wanted to go. I don’t expect any doctor to spend an hour with me but at least enough time were you feel like they completely understand what you’re saying and how you’re feeling and tear in our compassionate. I didn’t get that from Dr. St. John as I’ve gotten with other doctors in that practice

After waiting an hour I was blessed with a minute of his time. He told me exactly what he said the first time I met him - time for an MRI. Why couldn't I call and say hey I'm still in pain- oh yea he doesn't make money then. Had an MRI and now you may NOT get the results until you see him- guess he needs the money. He loves to milk you for everything he can

Dr. St. John is exceptional. He spends enough time with his patients to fully understand their situation. He is kind, compassionate and has excellent bedside manner. I have seen him in both an office setting and in the surgical unit. Highly recommend!

We highly recommend Dr. St. John. I had both knees replaced and my hips by Dr. St. John and he was FABULOUS! We find him to be very professional, caring and friendly every time we have seen him. He paid such great attention to any problem I had and was willing to do whatever he could to make me feel better.

NOT SOMEONE I WOULD RECOMMEND FOR SURGERY - AS SOMEONE ELSE NOTED - HE SEEMS DETACHED - MY HIP SURGERY WAS A TOTAL BUST AND I AM FAR WORSE OFF FROM IT -

Follow up visit it's been one year since my knee surgery. Dr. St. John is the BEST!!! I Highly recommend him!!

I had total hip replacement surgery late January. From the first visit to my latest follow up ,was a fantastic experience. Dr St John was empathetic and attentive. I have been living with so much pain for over a year and now I am pain free. My surgery went perfectly, and I highly recommend him to anyone. Dr St John answered all my questions, and put me at ease because this was my first surgery in 55 years. Dr St John spoke to my family right before and right after my surgery, and calmed their fears and answered all questions they had. His entire staff was exceptional, and if I could give 10 stars I would. I will see him again next year for my other hip, he is truly a wonderful man and surgeon.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Over 2 hour wait for a 5 minute Fluff Job. Rushed me out with no help with extreme back pain. St John told me to call scheduling for appointment of cervical injection that they can’t do for another month. Leaving me with no relief. Never will I or family will return

Honestly - this person should look for another profession - he doesn't listen to the symptoms his patients submit - he doesn't even give a thorough examination - his is a 'detached' and uninterested approach to medical issues - he can be borderline 'rude' and is very, very - unprofessional indeed!!!!

I found this physician to be unavailable for post procedure follow-up care - unwilling to listen to patients with regard to symptoms - borderline insulting and pompous - with an overall very unprofessional deportment!!!!

My mother had hip replacement surgery with Dr. St. John. From the first office visit, to the hospital surgery and the follow-ups, he and his staff showed us complete professionalism, courtesy, and compassion. He answered all our questions and was very attentive to any of our concerns. Thank you Dr. St. John for putting her at ease and taking such good care of her.

Dr. St. John is very through and kind. I have had spinal fusion surgery in the past but with new pain I came to Dr. St. John for some options. He did a cortisone shot which provided me with almost instant relief. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering with spinal issues.

I waited three weeks for appointment to see Dr. St. John. I was experiencing severe lower back pain and sciatica. I told him I was missing work and would wake up every night around 3am and couldn’t go back to sleep. He never physically touched me or evaluated me. He told me to turn around, then gave me a steroid shot in my glute. He told me if it’s gets worse, to give him a call. He never returned my calls. He just acted like he doesn’t care and isn’t a good diagnostition.

Visited Dr. St. John with a close friend today. He answered all questions and responded to my friends concerns with through answers. We did not feel rushed and the office assistant was friendly and helpful. As a Registered Nurse I would recommend Dr. St. John highly. He has operated on several of my friends and they also recommend him highly.

After I had my surgery I still had an issue. His response was there was nothing he could do. Never went back to him

Spent about 10 minutes and left. Did not do a physical exam or even check reflexes. Did no explaining. Billed $315. I waited 1.5 hours for this.

Great Doctor, I was recommended to him for a second opinion and he really took his time in evaluating me and being extremely thorough.

Professional, caring physician who listens to the patient and answers all questions. I always feel that I am in the best of hands with Dr St John. Highly recommend him
