Great Doctor, Really Listens and Helps
I have seen Dr. Gilmer personally on multiple occasions and he also takes care of both of my elderly in-laws. They are challenging people to work with, and have complex medical situations due to having a number of overlapping medical conditions. He is great with them. He's patient, kind, respectful, and really listens and tries to help. He never rushes through an appointment and also remembers patients and their details from visit to visit.

I’ve been seeing Dr Gilmer for 7-8 years now and really appreciate how he wants me to understand what’s going on with my various conditions. He takes time to explain and then engages me to jointly develop a care plan.

Excellent analytical physician. Caught 2 severe conditions I was unaware of simply by looking at blood samples. And he takes time to talk you through your options--he doesn't believe in or participate in a patient-mill. I owe him a lot!

Since I work in the medical field, I interact with a number of physicians. I have seen Dr. G as my PCP for well over 20 years. I rarely meet a doc that is as kind, knowledgeable and engaged in my health care. As he states it, "This is either a career or a calling." He fits in the latter group, I hope he never retires! Can't say enough great things about him! He spends time and listens to me and offers very clear and thorough explanations. Other docs could learn from him! Brad C

WE have had a few Drs but Dr. Gilmer has been the most caring and knowledge Dr my family has had. He allows you time to question the diagnosis, medication and gives you a peace of mind about your condition. He has been and still is a great physician.

Dr. Gilmer is by far one of the best doctors I have had in my 66 years of seeing doctors. He gives me confidence to deal with my medical conditions and is always there to help me get a handle on my health and life. His staff is as caring and professional as he is.

Dr. Gilmer is awesome. We have been going to him for about 7 years now. He is the kindest, most caring, and compassionate doctor I know. He takes his time with each and every patient, and never makes you feel like he is in a rush. He thoroughly answers all questions, and makes sure that I understand his explanations of whatever needs explaining. He is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of Internal Medicine no matter what my question to him might be. He deserves much more than 5 stars

You never feel rushed with Dr. Gilmer. He is very knowledgeable, explains everything, and is such a kind man. During one office visit his staff knocked on the door to tell him he had another patient waiting. His comment was that he was there for his patients and was not a clock watcher. While those were not his exact words, that is the feeling he left with me. I highly recommend Dr. Gilmer.

I saw Dr. Gilmer for the first time recently and he was fantastic. He was very compassionate and didn't rush and let me ask all my questions. I am a 20 year old female and I think it says something about him if I was able to connect with an older male doctor so well. I appreciate him so much.
