I'm still traumatized emotionally AND financially years after she locked me up. I told her nothing could be done for me in a few days at MGH except draining my savings. She actually agreed, but did it anyway!

I was deprived of a voluntary admission status by a malicious family member November 22, 2017 after another one failed at Arbour Hospital in Jamaica Plain. My only complaint was the lack of address to a neurological condition that was being caused by the psychoactive medicine that was used in the treatment of the Schizophrenia. One night I was given a sedative under the belief that I could sleep through the ordeal. I subsequently lost consciousness and passed out onto the floor of my room.

Dr. Teresita Balderas was my Psychiatrist for many years in Texas and she was the main doctor that was truly vested in finding the right medicine that worked best for me based on my overall family history and genetic background. Her education & concentration is genealogy and as a result that gives her an advantage in being able to help her patients understand not only the mental health but also the other illnesses that we as human beings may be affected by do to our genetics such as diabetes.

We did not have a positive experience. She has a very poor bedside manner and did not communicate effectively with us as the family. She made decisions without speaking to us.

This is not a knee-jerk bad rating. This is months after the experience with Dr. Balderas when we know she was completely wrong with diagnosis and prescribed treatment. Extremely poor bedside manner and listening skills. Stated strong concerns with diagnosis at the time of hospitalization and we later confirmed that she was completely wrong. Refused to consult with neurology on a serious issue resulting from a brain injury. She over prescribed medication
