No Respect
Dr. Khan was very impolite on my first and only visit with her. It was my first encounter with a neurologist at Cleveland Clinic. I reviewed the available doctors beforehand, and she seemed very personable and professional in her video. Well, it was the total opposite in person. After I explained my muscle tremor and seizure episodes, her response was, 'Why did you make an appointment with me?!' I was shocked at her interrogation-like question. 'Well,' I said, 'I found you on the Cleveland Clinic website for neurologists.' She must have been having a bad day or something. 'Well, I'm not that type of neurologist!' She seemed exasperated. She found me another doctor, but she seemed put off for having to do even that. Apparently, her time was too valuable and being gracious enough to politely redirect a patient to a different neurologist was beneath her. Needless to say, this was the most disrespectful office visit I have ever had. Fortunately, the other doctors at CC are much nicer.

We were International patients that made an appointment with Cleveland Clinic in Weston to see Dr Khan on the 8th Nov. 21. All relevant documents were put on the portal two months before the appointment date. When we arrived Dr Khan greeted us by saying “How can I help you today “. At that moment we knew that she did not even read our son’s file. This was very disappointing with no regard for someone who travelled from far at an expense trying to find help for our son. She then went on to say”If the Drs in Trinidad diagnosed him with ataxia..then why did you come, because there is no cure” We found her to be very vague and it was up to us to ask the questions to get any sort of answer. She also lacked any empathy and was very dismissive. I wish I had unlimited words to give a proper detailed account of how disappointing this consultation was. Overall we found her to be over rated. Thankfully we were able to find another dr who has been very helpful outside of Cleveland.

Brilliant but doesn’t seem to care. Attitude re: Parkinson’s is that there’s really no hope and start medication immediately. Doesn’t proactively share side effects. We always have to ask and she seems annoyed that it matters to us. Frustrating - wish she could hide the fact that she perceives is as a nameless, faceless, afflicted couple with no cure.
