``My administrative experience has been a very beneficial supplement to my practice,`` said Dr. Turbay, who provides both inpatient and outpatient care. ``Understanding the business end of medicine has helped me become a better patient advocate, so I'm always seeking ways to improve care while reducing costs.``

Fluent in Spanish and English, Dr. Turbay completed his internal medicine residency program at the Ponce School of Medicine, Mayaguez Medical Center, where he was also named ``Resident of the Year`` in 2013. He also holds a healthcare administration degree from the Universidad del Norte, School of Medicine.
