Useless, rude Dr. who didn't do her job
She was useless. Rolled her eyes when I said my general practitioner suggested I had a problem with my painful, clogged inner ear. She just told me to go and get my hearing checked. I also went to her for acid reflux, she didn't bother to help with suggestions or verify my symptoms and address the problem. No scope of my esophagus. She told me to go to a gastroenterologist. Don't waste your time or your money with her. Are these not two things to see an ENT for? She will not address your problems or questions and will just send you to other drs.

Always gets right to my problem
Dr. Karelsky is great. She listens to all my symptoms, uses all of her tools to get to the problem, and discusses all treatment options, including medication and practical measures. My sinuses are the worst, and I always feel so much better after seeing her.

Dismissive
I explain several concerns to her, and I explained my history of my sinus to her. She looked at my history and saw that I was diagnosed with migraines when I was a teenager and assumed that’s what it was. She was very rude, cold and dismissive of my concerns and referred me to a neurologist when rice issues are in fact sinuses I will be looking for a second opinion.

Last year Dr Karelsky performed a septoplasty on me. The results were worse than when i went in. I couldn't breath thru one side of my nose and had constant pressure. You could see how crooked my nose had become. A couple months after the surgery, she told me that it could be "fixed" in the office. Fortunately i was able to find an incredible surgeon who finally agreed to rework my nose. He did a fantastic job and i can now breath through a totally straight nose. I hesitated to write this review, but felt i must for others considering surgery with Dr. Karelsky.

She was very helpful. She answered all my questions & then some. Very kind with great compassion. She's quiet & soft spoken but know her stuff. She has even improved the technique if surgery is required. We are lucky to have her in Rochester, NY!

She was very kind to me, made sure to answer any questions I had; didn't just rush me out the door for another number. Even researched some ideas right in front of me with the questions I had!
