Excellent doctor
I believe he is a very skilled and smart doctor. I have the highest respect for his tact in dealing with patients in a highly stressful environment for both parties, doctor and patient. Kudos!

Excellent Dr.
My family member was a patient of Dr. Beck back when Dr. Beck worked at St. Elizabeth's. After being in and out of several inpatient facilities, Dr. Beck was the very first Dr who cared. Dr. Beck gave me faith that there actually are some great caring Doctor's in psychiatry. He was very compassionate and took a lot of time to explain things to me. He discussed the different medication options and was able to persuade my loved one to stay longer in the hospital. I absolutely love Dr. Beck. My loved one has been hospitalized many times and throughout all these years, Dr. Stuart Beck is the one Doctor that I will never forget because he was one of the few who actually listened and was dedicated to helping my family member. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Beck is arrogant and dishonest. He prescribes drugs which are extremely dangerous.

Dr. Beck was friendly & congenial, but made many incorrect assumptions during my inpatient visit based on very little information. When I learned this from my outpatient provider, I realized I had been subject to stigma. Awards & prestigious positions & even patient rapport mean little to me when a doctor is unnecessarily suspicious of patients & assigns labels to them after spending less than a cumulative 2 hours with them (labels that my psychiatrist of 1.5 yrs vehemently disagreed with).
