Unusual and inconsistent evaluation of a COVID patient through virtual screening. Reviewed recommendations with Pennsylvania physicians who questioned medical validity of recommendations. Would not recommend.

What a rare treat to find a real deal family doctor who treats his patients with personal attention! Almost doctors in Florida have now sold out to corporate chains, or joined large partnerships, with jam-packed waiting rooms, overbooked schedules, long waits, rude staff, and impersonal service. Dr. Schaeffer is more like an 'old school' family doctor - he runs his own office, schedules appointments to allow ample time to give PERSONAL attention, and get to know his patients. He even takes BP & draws blood samples himself! His staff Karen and Gayle are incredibly nice - -- what a rare treat to find in south Florida!

Horrible experience. He is judgmental, arrogant and rude. Also passive aggressive attitude and basically was calling me a liar. I will not be retuning and do not recommend this doctor.

Gives excellent advice. Problems other doctors left alone he treated successfully. Increased the dosage of two medications and improved both conditions. Every time he has advised me when other doctors offered no help, he was proven correct.

I have been a patient of Dr Schaeffer for over 15 years and in that time have always been treated with respect and caring. Karen and Gayle in the office are professional and caring and go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Dr. Schaeffer is always considerate and takes his time to make sure you get the best treatment for your condition. What I like most is he is not a pill pusher, he will thoroughly review your condition and prescribe the proper course of action.

Dr. Schaeffer saw me as a telehealth patient about 2 weeks ago. I was seeing him for wrist pain and hand numbness. He recommended I wear braces when sleeping as well as lose weight. When I explained to him that I have an eating disorder and am in a specific program, he again recommended the Keto diet and told me this could help me get off my anxiety medication as well. I was very upset that not only did he not treat me, but he shamed me and gave me advice that was completely opposite from what I needed as a person with an eating disorder. Dr. Schaeffer, please educate yourself on health at every size and listen to ChristyHarrison.com podcast #119 and learn about your shear ignorance. (fast forward to about 15 minutes in). Turns out, I need surgery and a nerve test, not a Keto diet. Thanks Anyway!

Dr. Schaeffer and his staff are very professional and exceedingly courteous. They will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and safe.

Paid and saw no improvement after treatment. Questioned procedure and was basically told too bad, and that I should pay more money for a package deal. Yeah right, that's what I'm going to do. Avoid this Dr. he only cares about making money for himself.

Have been a patient for several years. Excellent office staff. They follow up and the appointments are almost always on time. Dr. Schaeffer takes time to listen and cares when he makes recommendations that they should be understood.

Good communication and takes the time to talk to me.

This was my first and last visit with this doctor. I prepared a type written summary of all my medical history, medications, etc. The office staff said that they did not know if I would be seen unless I filled out "his forms" .. Nevertheless less he did agree to see me. When I mentioned the dose of one of medications he said that it was not correct. The Mayo clinic uses this dose he also disagreed about one of the uses my medication. However the US Government agrees with me. He is behind

Worst staff ever! This place charged my mom full price out of pocket telling her that her Insurance doesn't cover the procedure. They billed her Insurance anyway and got reimbursed almost the full amount she paid. They refuse to reimburse my mom and are being fraudulent about it. We have contacted the Insurance fraud hotline and our attorney. Do not use this Dr or his office.

I have many years knowing Dr Schaeffer. He is an excellent doctor; caring and effective . his front desk and office personnel Gail an Karen are very professional and helpful . We are glad that now that we are back can use his professional help again . You can trust him

Horrible doctor. Actually a mean person who refused to give my husband a referral to see a foot doctor to treat his gout. We wanted to see a specific doctor that cured my fathers gout and he said if you don't like my decision, find a new PCP. By the way, he said it was gout and the blood work said it was gout, so why this doctor didn't want my husband to be cured is beyond me. He should not have a medical license in my opinion.

I have had good experiences with Dr. Schaefer . He is not rushed during appointments and takes time to answer questions thoroughly.

My problem was with the office staff (Karen). It is extremely difficult to get someone on the phone. They refuse to take calls from patients irrelevant of the urgency and patients are forced to leave a message for them to call back at their convenience, which may take a couple of days and to make matters worse, rude & with an attitude. It is quite unfortunate because Dr Schaeffer is a good physician and I wonder if he knows his staff is driving customers away by the lack of customer service.

I called and left a message. I was given an appointment for that same day. I arrived 15 minutes early and was in the room within 10. The doctor was in to see me in under five minutes (still technically before my actual appointment time.) He spoke with me, examined me, and diagnosed me. He was very thorough, pleasant and kind. The office staff was sweet and friendly. Very clean, comfortable facility. Highly recommended.
